OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

The stuff Kanye is saying about new slaves and blacks don't own anything Pac was saying this 20 years ago.

Not taking anything away from Kanye's message cuz I love that fact that he's saying **** a lot of people in his position would just ignore but dude needs to change his approach. Nobody wants to listen to a whiny *** grown man.

And nobody wanted to listen to PAC sooooooo.

There's no way you can really say those things that won't make people feel uneasy

All this.

He's giving away his power by not articulating his ideas correctly and looking more like a high class pariah than a revolutionary. He has to understand that his supporters have no interest in him being "blackballed" from fashion or him not getting investers for his creative company without a solid business model.

If Ye was as adept at business as he is as an artists he would be in a better position. He already dropped his own line and poached people from fashion houses to work on it. He spent as much money as most fashion houses do, the product just wasn't good. You can't cry about how we are all slaves to their idea of luxury and cry about how they won't let you sit at the table, that's crab ****.

Ye is worth a upwards of 100 mill, one of the most powerful musicians in the world and probably the biggest cultural influence to those 14-28. He already has the base to do what he wants to do, the "glass ceiling" that he's talking about is himself.

What?

The people that Pac was speaking to wanted to listen to him. Dude spoke for a whole generation of young black males. The people that didn't wanna hear him probably couldn't relate or couldn't handle what he was saying.

Like I said he makes some great points but he can make 'em w/o souding crazy and whiny. Kanye just sounds like a kid crying cuz he couldn't get that toy for Christmas. He said it himself, he needs to learn from Jay how to handle himself.

I see what Ye is doing. He's publicly pushing his points through media so that his voice could be louder to these companies that he wants to help him.

However, I feel that it's falling on death ears. He's being too specific IMO. He's focusing too much on the fashion part of the problem. The people he's speaking to, whether it be at shows, or during these radio interviews, don't know or care to know the names that he's dropping. They don't care about your bout with high fashion.

Between all of what he's saying in these interviews and these tangents, I don't even know what exactly is he so riled up about . I'm assuming he feels he's being blackballed from High Fashion, to which he has a point. However, I think we're only hearing Kanye's side of the story and that there's more to it. These companies would work with Ye in a heartbeat it would seem, considering his influence in pop culture. So with that, I think it's more to the story than what he's trying to present.

Regardless, If there is anything to take away from all of these Ye outburst it would be his sheer and utter faith in himself. His ambition and belief in himself is truly remarkable and a trait that we all would benefit from having. Off of that alone I feel that whatever it is that he's pursuing he'll get.

'Ye publicly bashing companies that turned him down, so that the companies he reach out to in the future will be forced to work with him.

kinda like a scare tactic

juan epstein interview was great... the michael jackson & dilla stories :pimp: i love when he reflects back on old stories around the CD, LR, & graduation era.

i enjoyed the breakfast club interview as well... i like that charlamagne went at ye because most people just agree with ye or go along with him in interviews. he at least challenged him on the things he didn't agree with & was honest.

the way he spazzed out during the sway interview though :wow:

"i started the year off with i gave sway his first tv, i gotta end the year off with you ain't got the answers sway."
need to watch the epstein interview

There are 3 threads on nt right this moment discussing the same thing

recognize greatness :smokin

This is his most complete interview so far... he finally kept the anger down and found a much more controlled tone to bring people to his thought process

I'll take it with a grain of salt.

There were reports of him making a "boom-bap" album. That ended up being MBDTF.

I don't want him to come out with another album so soon. It'll be like he has something to prove

he's already confirmed he's gonna release the yeezus leftovers.

i wish one of these radio people would just ask him if he's gonna do another "good friday" type thing.  people didnt realize how good they had it with that.

I don't want any Yeezus left overs
