Bethesda Explains Why Skyrim Takes Just 6 GB Space; Accessible UI and more
Posted in News on 28th October, 2011 by Kartik Mudgal

Were you shocked when Bethesda announced that Skyrim is just 6 GB? Considering the game is so gigantic, it must have been a puzzling moment for many. Games like Witcher 2 take almost 10 GB – 16 GB of space and since Skyrim will be much more expansive than that, how did Bethesda do it?

Well, it seems that we have the answer now as Pete Hines explained why that is the case. He said that they have a new engine this time. Shocked again? Yeah, maybe they’re using a modified version of *gasp* Gamebyro or an entirely new engine, but he mentioned that it is “new

im gonna get ps3 version... heard the 360 version is 2 disk... this game is gonna be game of the year...how come no one talkin bout this???

Yeah im skipping MW3 because on 11/11 I wont even pick up the game anymore.

Plus I just put in some extra work to my PC. Last month I put in a GTX 590

and upgraded to 12 GB of RAM.

This game and Star Wars: The Old Republic (December 20) are gonna have all my free time.

I was thinking about the PS3 version, but then I took my head out of my %$% and pre-ordered PC.

My boy talks highly of these games, didn't get a chance to ask him but is this a full on rpg where you pick your attacks or can you actually control the combat yourself?

Not enough free time...but will cop nonetheless. UC3, MW3, and this. The gf will not be happy.

Never played any elder scrolls
Not very similar. The best part of WoW (community) is not available. It's just you developing your character and interacting with NPC's.

It's a full RPG and you control combat. They're not mutually exclusive.
