Cam Newton has never made a read in his life

Cam Newton has never taken a snap under center

Cam Newton is at least 5 years away from contributing

Cam Newton looked terrible at the combine

Cam Newton has awful work ethic

Cam Newton will be like every other black QB who came before him (looking at you Marley)

Dude might be the most exciting player in the NFL.  On top of it all...he can absolutely PLAY.  He's going to have his ups/downs because he's a rookie...but if you can't see that this man is going to be an absolute star, then you still got a #*%% load of hate in your system.  He's making his reads...he's going through his progressions...he's making ridiculously accurate passes...he's just about everything that people said he couldn't or would struggle with.  And being 6'6" 255, he can take big hits and brush them off.  Going back to his year at Auburn, I've never seen a QB with his combination of size/athleticism.  He's changing the game and I'm happy he's shutting a lot of people up.

He's rejuvinated that franchise (and a certain WR) and they are a year or two away from being a 10+ win team.  Panthers may be 2-5, but they are VERY fun to watch on offense.

Relax. Just like the other people who had those opinions, let the man play, and we will see what happens.

Posts like this will be the reason people hop on him the second he looks bad. Just let him play.

I'm quite sure there's other threads you can make to reach that quota...

He has won two games against the ******** and Jaguars.

He is barely sniffing a 60% completion percentage and, considering his toss-ups to Smith, that's horrendous.

He has more interceptions than touchdowns.

He is a glorified Jason Campbell.

Tim Tebow is better than Cam Newton. I'm being dead serious.

Whatever...I'm happy he's shutting a lot of people up.  Something about him rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way and they have in turn, waited on pins and needles for him to fail.  This goes back to his time at Auburn.  You can probably make a case for him being the most polarizing QB prospect (Tebow the other).  Trust me, I know it's not all going to be gravy for him.  He's a rookie...he's going to have ups/downs.  But he's proven that he can play in the NFL and at a high level.  The talent is there.

A lot of doubters on NT just last yr, what a different a few weeks make. Don't know why so much hate early on, knew he would be good (not THIS good though).

He's given life to that franchise.

Let's focus our attention here. Gassed.

First of all this thread sucks. Second, You my friend are a certified clown. Cam Newton with a broken arm > Tim Tebow

To be honest man, this whole Tim Tebow being a great person NEEEEDS to end. Just because dude thanks "god" after everything he does is just a gimmick. Real G's move in silence. If Chad Ochocinco started thanking god in front of every camera he went in front of, he would get grilled for it.

He is only 7 games into his career. His CAREER might not amount to anything. But right now, he is fun to watch. But just remember, he is 7 games into his career.

and the man is getting in the endzone ... give me the QBR statistic anyday over the rating system ... dude has more rushing TDs than most teams

I'm not comparing him to Peyton, but in Peyton's rookie year he was sub 60% and had more INTs than TDs.

Cam.

He's a transcendent athlete. It's been obvious. Will only get better.

I asked in January (before Luck went back to school) If it'd be crazy to take Cam #1? I didn't really think so then and don't now-- Panthers might have timed things right after all.

I'm happy we got a QB...and I'm more than happy that this is his first year and he's giving us a chance to win week in and week out.

Glorified Jason Campbell...be serious.

This.

I enjoy watching Cam play and he has exceeded a lot of people's expectations for him, including mine.

I'm rooting for him but pump the brakes a bit.

I'm most impressed with his accuracy the throws he made yesterday were ridiculous . Throwing balls ONLY his receivers could catch in tight coverage 30 yards down the field. Kid is gonna be a stud I wish he was my QB
