Cam Newton is too raw to be a successful NFL QB...

Cam = Vince Young 2.0

Arm = yes
Read the defense = No
Too young too soon = Yes

Wait him out for couple more season. its his rookie year. i watch him now and then on the sunday nfl ticket but there's just something about him that i don't like.

DoubleJs, add to that, "he wont be able to articulate plays at the line pre-snap"

....anybody else remember that %+!@? Based solely off that Gruden special. ESPN gave that b.s legs, smh....

Never been a Cam fan but he's been good. Not great but good, impressive numbers and impressive plays. He competes and doesn't give up. He'll get better and be a good QB, his throwing is looking better and he can run, hard to tackle

If I had to choose my franchise QB and these QB are off the board...

Brees
ARod
Tom
Rivers
Manning

Word.
He's been doing good so far. He can only get better from this point on. I know that frightens a lot of people.

But Colt McCoy w. the "hee haw" wouldn't have any problems saying the play in the huddle....

I remember folks going in on him because of all things, his smile didn't look genuine...

Andy Dalton will have a better career than Cam Newton

I'm all in with Cam, he's been a joy to watch this year.  And Smitty certainly agrees.

Add a little on the O-line, get him a big #2 WR, and give him a full offseason program complete with coaching and the whole 9, this offense will be real fun next season.

And I like Dalton, just crossin that out cuz TCU guy came in to hype his guy in a Cam thread.

All the headlines about Newton before the season were mainly created by the blowhard media and 14 trillion NFL mock "experts" who stuck to an agenda. They as usual create the storyline then all fall in line. We all knew because Newton was an athletic black QB he was going to be torn to shreds by these idiots.

At the end of the day the people that matter (the NFL) took him with the first pick in the draft ahead of every other player.

That's why those headlines don't mean much to me IMO and he's not getting back at anyone right now. Dude is playing great and showing why he was the first pick.

No one has addressed my original points.

Also, is he better than Mike Vick? Is he better than Vince Young? If you answered Yes two either of those questions, exit stage left.

Why don't you step outside the box and take into account the state of the league and the state of the Panthers? Not only do teams throw more frequently, the Panthers also stink. He torched two secondarys that are absolutely putrid. He made throws (most of the time inaccurate) to wide open receivers as a result of blown coverage. He threw jump balls to Steve Smith.

I bet you guys are the same people who were gassing Matthew Stafford after his first few weeks. Like dude hasn't been inaccurate his ENTIRE life.
