RICE = G.O.A.T.!
Jerry Rice played for 20 years without quitting on his team. can moss beat that?

agreed

Hell no....
Rice's route running >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Randy Moss....

Hands > Randy Moss

Does/Did Randy go across the Middle???

agreed again!

you guys should all feel honored, the true g.o.a.t. has addressed all of you who doubted him back in august when i created the "whose ready for the returnof randy mossome?" thread.

"breaking rice's record wasn't special, shutting you (doubters) up was special"

he's talking to YOU doublejs. i still vividly remember you ludicrously saying moss wasn't top 5 in the league

ya know...i think moss > rice...but imma say this...screw it...props go out to mr. brady 32-42 for 356?....thats insane

i hate to sound like im discrediting rice, but moss has him...im sorry..more talent...and dont give me the class act crap, cause moss is a class act as long as hes on a winner..well rice was never on a bad team for us to see how it really could be with him

Well as soon as you take them back in time in your DeLorean and switch places we'll never know. Jerry defecates on Randy. and I!%!$!% with Randy

before the season started, who would have put Moss in their top 5? This dude was a HUGE question mark as he headed into New England. Being traded foronly a 4th round pick should tell you about some of the doubts people had about his abilites. Can you seriously back up any of your claims as to why YOU thinkMoss is the GOAT? Your slurping of Moss is very odd.....it's pretty sad that your whole existence is based off of what Randy Moss does. You areobsessed....probably to the point where if you heard Philly had a sunny day, you would think it was due to Randy Moss smiling somewhere....out of curiosity, how old are you? I think your age would have a lot to do with your lack of knowledge of anything football related pre-2006.

um, i don't know. maybe people who understand that moss is the greatest talent to grace the gridiron at the wide receiver position? just awild guess.

I seen Rice play, but you guys need to realize the complex defenses Randy and his offense face week in and week out. Competition is 10x harder now than whenRice played.

it's supposed to be a rice appreciation thread.... and it turns into a moss bashing thread.... leave moss alone.

i saw rice play and he was awesome.... appreciated. i'll leave it at that.

Rice was sort of my childhood hero, i dont know what it was, but as far as i can remember ive been a 49er and Jerry Rice fan.

I'm not trying to bash Moss. I'm a fan I won't lie, but the Moss riders just get irritating.

HOLD UP DID these fools just say that there are better corners now??? your comments are asinine.

Deion Sanders
Darrell Green
Aeneas Williams
Rod Woodson
Carnell Lake
Cris Dishman

Just because Moss has one record, it doesn't make him the best. To be considered the best, how about he take down some more of the records that Jerry Ricehas. Until then, Jerry Rice is the best. Just because you are talented =/= you being the best.

If Randy Moss is so much more talented and better than Jerry Rice, why isn't he shattering the record books? He should be obliterating all of Rice'srecords.

i love what randy has done for my pats and all...and he's is the greatest of my time...but the fact that rice put up 22 in 12 games just flat out amazesme. i appreciate BOTH of them. they are both sick wideouts...the two best to ever play the game.

I don't know why you guys are responding to this dude j rain...every NTer should hit the ignore button on him
Moss is a great receiver but Rice will always be the greatest

Defenses are more complex, but so is an NFL offense.

Competition is harder? Based on what?

The NFL is less physical now, than what it was before.

And let's not forget about the safety position:

Lott - ripped his own finger off
Atwater - peep the youtube vid below - legendary
Chuck Cecil - son was always bleeding from his forehead. Dude was maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad dirty. I think the NFLput in a rule because of this dude.
Darren Woodson - Cowboys staple, ball hawk
Henry Jones - Bills staple, another ball hawk
And I'm forgetting someone from the Oilers I think. Actually, I'm forgetting a bunch of dudes.

The point is that d-backs were more feared/talented back then. And Rice was roasting them all. I would love to see if Randy would have had the balls to goacross the middle on a slant with dudes like Cecil out there.

Anyway, peep this 6 second vid.

from someone who lives in New England, Jerry Rice is definitely appreciated. The best to ever do it. Work Ethic, bringing it every game, hands, basically thetotal package.

and im not a Patriots fan, never will be. even though i live here.

@ all the people saying Moss is better than Rice.

Great, he broke one of his records (that Rice accomplished in a 12-game short season). Now let's see him break some of the 567346754 other WR records Ricehas. A couple of Super Bowl MVPs wouldn't hurt either.

Moss still has a LONG way to go before he can be regarded as better than Rice. You have no idea how wide the gap between Rice's career and the career ofany other WR in league history really is, including Moss. If you would just take 5 minutes and do some research on all the things Rice did, you would see thatMoss is still far away.
