Nah......Sounds like you just gave it like 1 listen

....lyrics are definitely on point on thursday along with the production.
The first listen was overwhelming but after that....straight Piff.

Its about the same level as HOB for me

I can see some similarities, but the differences stand out more to me. The Weeknd's *#* is more trip-hop/ambient/distortion style R&B. The Dream has more of a modernize Prince, pop music sound in my opinion.

Dream and Abel just have some what similar voices.  I don't think Abel stole dreams style just because they sound some what familiar.

The first song posted is dope.  Him killing himself at the end of the video is OD emo for me.

This guys voice can't compare to Abel's.  Thursday is slightly better then HOB to me.  A more cohesive experience to me.  The reason The Weeknd is so much better then this sorry.  Abel's harmonies and notes he hits, his range the production is top notch.  The jerk persona that comes through in his songs is way better then crying over a girl R&B like this guy is singing. 

I know music is all subjective. So to each their own.  But there is not one single musical act out today that is seeing the Weeknd in my eyes.
