I don't think son is tripping on all that honestly.
He's already linked to Drake who's a top 3 hip hop artist in the world and Drake even hinted in an interview he may already be signed.
Also this JMSN dude seems to already be signed to Universal under a different name making some factory pop music.
& even though this joint is good, I doubt The Weeknd isn't going to still be the king of his own $@%*.

There is a difference from seeing the influence like the The-Dream is to The Weeknd, and seing a dude who doesn't sing quite as well, who's voice isn't quite as interesting just do what looks like a straight imitation of dudes style. I'm not impressed.

I'll say this, I could understand what JMSN was saying. By that I don't mean the message of the song, I mean the words were distinct.

I'm a Weekend fan but homie OD's on the slurring/slash crooning. Feels as if he hasn't found all the words to the track yet.

I'm not gassing new guy though, consistency is key. I can see why Weekend fans would raise eyebrows , the kind words were a bit strong in here.
