PREPARE FOR LAUNCH

With two types of Nike Air designed for soft take-offs and brutal landings, and super-strong Flywire to help keep your foot locked down, the LeBron 9 Limited iD Basketball Shoe defies expectations. It's the first LeBron shoe by NIKEiD, complete with aggressive outsoles, modern materials and colors with meaning.

CHOOSE YOUR SURFACE

Hardwood. Blacktop. Concrete. With the LeBron Air Max 9 iD, you can choose an outsole made for the surface you play on most. The solid and gum rubber outsoles are ideal for practices in the gym, while the translucent option (available February 2012) offers extra durability for pickup games on the blacktop.

PICK YOUR MATERIALS

And for extra breathability when the game heats up, a mesh option keeps air flowing.

CRAFT YOUR COLORS

Follow in LeBron's footsteps by choosing colors from his schools: St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, and Summit Lake Middle School.

LEAVE YOUR MARK

Make this basketball shoe your own by adding personal iDs to the inside tongues (independent left and right, five characters or less).

NIKE_Hyperfuse.png

HYPERFUSE

Hyperfuse construction fuses three different layers of material using a hot-melt process, creating an unusually sturdy shoe with superior breathability. This breakthrough process provides a more consistent fit and almost completely eliminates stitching on the upper for a clean, modern finish. The base layer is made of a synthetic material to provide a supportive backing. In the middle, mesh offers lightweight breathability. And the top layer is made of Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film, which provides excellent durability.

NIKE ZOOM

Nike Zoom cushioning is part of the Nike Air family, and—like its siblings—it’s lightweight and durable. Because Nike Zoom cushioning is incredibly thin, it brings the foot closer to the ground and enhances stability, especially during quick cuts and multi-directional movements. After impact, the tightly stretched fibers inside the pressurized air unit quickly bounce back into shape, providing a super-responsive feel and improved awareness of the surface you’re playing on.

NIKE_Flywire.png

FLYWIRE

Flywire helps provide ultra-lightweight support and comfort for your foot. It gets its strength from thin Nylon fibers strategically placed on the upper of the shoe to hold the foot in place, helping to reduce slippage during activity. This allows for a massive reduction in weight because material is used only where it’s needed for structure.

MAX AIR

Part of the Nike Air family, Max Air was designed to provide maximum impact protection during repetitive landings. Shoes with Max Air feature less midsole material and larger-volume airbags for lighter weight and maximum cushioning you can see.

if you go to nikestore and put you mouse over the lebron image in the middle, it shows you how lebron ID'ed his. In the outsole part is says "translucent red" , so sounds like we'll get translucent soles at some point.

i like the first south beach nine. to bad they dont actually have that color on there otherwise i would have definitely had id'ed those because they look dope

Laces will be black.
