NT .. School me on the Nike Air Footscape

I would like to know about them as well. I always thought they were weird when I was younger. I saw the Rasta Clot pair not too long ago and now I'm on the hunt. For the pair I'm speaking of, I've seen them priced at $250-$500.

Yes!

The Footscape released in 1995 and was designed by Toren Orzeck, who actually co-invented Foamposite (he worked at GE prior to Nike). Orzeck was part of Nike APE (Advanced Project Engineering), which explored non-conventional designs of footwear. The Footscape was a running shoe shaped by the human foot, and the off-center lacing system was designed to keep the tension from laces away from key stress points on the foot. It's obviously a cult hit - really huge overseas and in Japan.

I have occasionally found a pair in the back wall in nike outlets where they put the samples. I had a sweet HTM woven pair. One of the only pairs of shoes that I regret getting rid of.

climbers pack is one of my fav sneakers produced.

I've wanted a pair of footscapes for years, never have picked up a pair because I'm afraid I'll get the sizing wrong.

They definitely run true to size, and the version with the updated sole (footscape motion) is still available in some online shops.
I'm still looking for a pair of retros with the original sole at a decent price...

I'll never get a pair. I was watching 2 pair on eBay a couple months back, one was like $300 and the other $500 plus, they sold quickly

Nothing really special, just the offset lacing & that they are comfy. I prefer Spiridons but these are not too shabby

I still recall walking into The Running Room (local running shop) & seeing the OG blue pair of Footscapes... My eyes were like

at the design but sadly so, as well @ the price.

Now a decade++ later, able to grab a pair on Boxing Day (like your US Black Friday, I guess) for $28.50 CDN from a nearby Nike Outlet (Climber's Pack) Sad to say I grabbed the last sz 11.5 but maaaaan I would have gotten multiple pairs @ that price had there been more....

UnDS them in the spring when winter retreats

I'm pretty sure there were more than 24 prs. Either that or there were different versions released. I've owned a pair (just sold them maybe two mths ago) and so did a good friend.

One of the colorways from the Bodega release has been at outlets for a few mths now. I think it's priced at $80.

Footscapes get no love from the masses. Definitely a cult shoe. I love'em a lot.

one of my favorites and they feel great on the foot. the hideouts are easy in my top 25 of shoes i own (grey pair not in picture).

Yes these have a strong cult following overseas, I met an Austrailian guy back in 06 at a shoe store I used to work at who had a hardcore collection of footscapes and is constantly on the hunt.

Still salty I sold my Harris Tweeds.
And there were most definitely more than 24 pairs of those CLOT joints.

I love Footscapes, but trying to find them for decent prices in the U.S. is tough now.

I was about to say I got lots of compliments on my Rastas but Harris Tweeds were prolly my faves.

For me, it's not so much about decent prices is it's the fact they just don't pop up too often stateside. I think one color from this holiday pack made it here.

I want that green colorway to replace my Harris Tweeds.

Whoever asked about the Free sole version -- http://smokingsection.upr...ions-nike-footscape-free

imo the regular footscapes are more comfortable than the wovens but i have more wovens. super bummed that i missed out on the dragon boats when they dropped.
