The odds are 1 in 200,000,000.

You don't "play" a game like that.

Honestly, even if this guys technique could increase your chances by 50% youd still only have a 1 in 100,000,000 shot

So you're saying I got a chance?

I'm always down for atleast 1 once it gets past $100 mil. The odds don't change from the standard $20 mil start, so why not go for it at $203 mil.. Why anyone would play at $20mil is beyond me? But more power to them. They got it this high.

No discrimination here, many NTers posting in here will be in for a treat if I win.

here's this for odds........

There have been 11.58 million posts (excluding the vault) on NT since late 2007.. You would then multiply that by 17 to reach the current powerball odds of 1 in 195 million.

I always do this in these threads, but it really gives a good visualization of what we are up against.

And after that's all said and done, your post count means nothing, you likely have maybe 1-5 posts that "count" against the 195 million.

Agreed I normally wait until it gets to around $80 mil.. After taxes it is around a million a year for life.. Assuming I don't live to 100.

Posting for potential 100k.

But I always get depressed when I play powerball. I usually don't get a ticket until it's in the 100 mills...but I spend the whole time up until the numbers are drawn thinking of how it would change my life and uplift my family, having me like

. Feelin' good about getting everyone in my family out of the struggle.

Then I realize I'm not going to win, I check the numbers...I don't win. And for like, a week I just sulk about it

just dont understand the 'why play at 20 mil mentality'. i mean is 20 mil not enough? is the dollar you spend worth more when the payout is 20 mil? if you dont believe in playing dont play. if you do play, odds are the payout is probably 1000x more money than you have regardless of the jackpot amount...right?
