Foams, since 1997 have ALWAYS run true to size.

agreed, most dudes dont even know what size they really wear, only shoes ive had to adjust size for were the lebron IXs, however the recent retro Jordans seem to run .5 large at times

good to know. will see my in a week

I compared mine to my royals, elec. blues, reds, and galaxies, the soles are the same thickness. I thought they looked thinner as well until I compared in person but I think it may have to do with the bright backing behind the sole creating an optical illusion. However....it is Nike, we all know that quality varies from shoe to shoe. so it is very possible.

Will we be seeing more of these "small details" in future foams? Referring to the use of navy on this shoe on theback and on the bottom of the sole....nothing serious, but a nice touch to go with the nickname of these foams....eventhough most people here in ny are going with the words like yellow, even heard a couple people say lemons

nike at least got the grooves back to being defined. i looked at the electric greens from last year and them joints almost had no grooves near the front

If the grooves you're referring to are treads in the soles, as the tool mold wears this may be the cause of this condition. Tooling has a life which can range widely based on material. My guess would be based on the volumes they move of these sneakers it could have come off a dated (worn) mold. Yours wouldn't be the only ones though, there'd probably be thousands like this?
grooves = grooves on the side of the shoe. not on the soles

Thanks for clarifying. I believe the process is the same and the sides are a molded part and thus would be subjected to the same effects of a worn tool. I'd need to compare the limes I have coming in This week from NDC with another pair to provide a more detailed response.

Please don't start with that sizing nonsense again. We already established that everyone's foot is different. My foot is wide so there is no way I can comfortably fit my true sz 10 in foams, Duncan's, zoom rookies, etc. Therefore all my foams I went a half sz up to 10.5 and a few are 11s and it's all good. All my Jordans, griffs, air max, etc are all sz 10.

So for the last time, I'd say MOST ppl go half sz up, SOME are true to size, BUT it all depends on ur foot.

Soooo glad I got my pair! These are loud as #3|| but if you tone down your fit these pop ever so nicely! Living in NY I've seen these being worn for a minute now with some great fits and total fail fits. It's all in how you rock em. I don't plan on wearing anything crazy with em just a few touches of the right yellow on my T with mostly black. I've seen some horror shows being worn with this shoe tho, some people are looking like "The man with the yellow hat" straight outta Curious George LOL....to each his own!

I agree, toned down outfits is the way to wear this shoe. Can't wait to get mine in.

I need Nike to drop those volts ASAP ..... I remember when dudes hated those... Some of these types of colorways sneak back up on you...

Eh. It was just a few years ago that wasn't quite enough. Remember the Cactus and original Black/Reds? Now look at what DS pairs of those go for. The hype has done wonders.

You didn't get your pair huh?

I don't really see how that has anything to do with what I said, but no, I didn't get a pair. It was never something I considered.

You didn't respond to the point I made, which is that just a few years back Foams that are getting beasted over now were sitting. If you think Penny is the selling factor, you couldn't be further off. Maybe for a select few of us diehard heads, but the fact is most people want Foamposites right now simply because it's the "it" shoe of the moment.

nice volts, and depending what foamposite some run .5 small....ive been coppin foams since 97 and they have changed over the years...usually true to size but the pewters for example ran .5 size small

Love these, but personally I think they might have looked better with a black sole! just a thought tho
