I got a 34 in my petit standards last week, and went tts and because tried on in store and 33 wasn't even gonna button up for me lol, so maybe those that say down size don't have thighs or a man body

I forgot who said it but if you get raw denim two sizes down from your regular size of course their gonna stretch out. You got then TWO sizes to small. It's like wearing some dress shoes that are to small or narrow for you, they may have been the last pair on the rack but you just had to have them. You knew they would stretch out eventually but it would take time.

depends on the quality/weight of the denim bruh. some APCs will stretch for days, but a pair of slubby pbjs or samurais will not.

Appreciate the input guys. Another reason why I sized down 2 in the waist was because I felt the legs, specifically by the shins and ankles (in the 30 PNS), were a little baggy for my liking. I'm a real skinny dude, I prefer the jeans to fit tight from the knee and below. The 29 fit a lot tighter in the lower leg area.

I'm thinking of possibly taking one more trip back to the store and trying on a different size 30. At the same time, I don't want my jeans to stretch so much like my last pair of J. Crew Selvage's.

Basically, most of you agree the Petit's stretch significantly enough as where I'm good with going 2 sizes down?

apc ps 6+ yrs on and off wear.

a few hot soaks early on, 3 ocean washes, and idr how many hand washes.

fit like a glove

Stretch two sizes, I think that's a bit excessive. I'd say one size of a stretch if anything.

Reading your post I can't help but think that the PS would have been more towards you liking as oppose to PNS. The PNS are liked by many on here who wanted a mix between the NS and PS, thus making the PNS ideal for people who are extra beefy around the tights but wanted that PS fit towards the bottom.

Those look beautiful, you did the warm soaks as soon as you bought them? My Vince denim bleeds like there is no tomorrow, even if I just place my hand on my denim for a minute I can see some dye on my hands.

what did the ocean washes do for you? Honestly I think its all bs.

thanks broham.
i did a warm soak after the first week. & if the indigo is already bleeding like crazy maybe you could start with a cold soak. i think i read somewhere that it helps fix the indigo, not 100% though.

the ocean washes create fades because of the coarse sand rubbing against the denim. it just depends on how serious you are about those fades, ive seen dudes sit in down and rub sand all over their denim. i guess its pretty much the same as using sandpaper, not my cup of tea though.

A year and a half and I only managed to get this done. Haven't really had the chance to really beat them up and they shrunk a lot after I did a cold wash

Hey folks,

Can anyone give me some insight on what the size/fit equivalent in APC. I currently like the Naked & Famous Weird guy fit in a 32, what would you guys recommend in APC that is the same fit?

Thanks!

Since the conversation has really picked up in here lately I figured I change then direction a little...

What are some of your favorite jeans when it comes to softness and comfort???

- I have a pair of Joe's Jeans that I've had for maybe two years. These things were a little stretchy and soft from the start, but at this point they are silky smooth. Love them :pimp:
- I have another pair of Kill City Mods. These are pretty comfortable and definitely have some good stretch in them when you're moving around.

-Pretty standard Levis would be what I would place as the 6 on a 1-10 scale of jean softness. APCs and other raw denim at pretty much a 9-10. The Joes are probably a 3 and the Kill City's a 3.5. A litter thicker, but also a little more stretch.

What brands/models have you come across that you thought were very soft & comfortable, while still good looking of course? I'm real interested in possibly picking up a pair of Naked & Famous jeans. I heard they use some dope fabrics that can be ridiculously soft if you find them.

Appreciate the info. You're probably right about going with the PS instead of the PNS, if the PS is a overall tighter fit. I was kind of in a bind when I bought them, Nordstrom only had the NS and PNS to choose from. Hopefully I can get to the store in SoHo to try the PNS.

NS=Not Skinny
PS=Pretty Skinny
PNS=Probably Not too Skinny

Does anyone with the Rogue Territory Stanton's have any fit/progression pics of them? I'm thinking of getting a pair since I need a new pair of jeans.

Just bought some Evisu #1 MIJ

Been looking for a while. Red tab and black gulls but that will have to do instead of the white gulls I wanted. Price was too good to pass up.

at all the responses for the 3 years :lol:

they were sprayed with fabreez from time to time and put in the freezer but idk if that really does anything :rolleyes

I recently picked up some APC Petit New Standard's and I'm in a bit of a quandary. I did my research before buying them, and the general consensus was to size down at least one, or in most cases, 2 sizes. I'm a size 31. I went with size 30 and felt like I still had some room to go in the waist area. They were tight, but not so uncomfortable, which lead me believe that they would stretch more than I would like them to. Went back and returned them for a 29. MAN, these things are almost cutting off the circulation down there. I like the fit everywhere else except the in the waist. It makes walking really awkward.

My question to you guys is, did I size down too many sizes? Will the 29's break in? Or should I go back and go the 30's?

Or... Should I scrap APC all together, and go for some Naked and Famous? How do the two brands compare?

I should add that I prefer my jeans to fit snug.

Appreciate the input...
Relax, bro. It took me about 3-4 months of constant, everyday wear before my jeans began to stretch out. It'll happen, in due time.

Now my only problem is I washed them recently and the waist/thigh area shrunk considerably more than I had expected it to.... : (

By no means I'm I an a rush but I have been wearing a pair of unbranded (taper fit) for those who have worn this brand how long before fading starts? Or is it all subjective to how much I wear em?

Basically how often you wear them and what you do in your denim. For example, If you ride your bike in your jeans your going to get quicker fades compared to a person who only wears them casually.

Guys what should I do with my Vince's that are bleeding like crazy. I just goth them about a week ago and only wore them 2 times but man do they bleed.
