Speaking of tapers, does anyone have experience getting their jeans tailored from the inseam?
I had my SEXIHXLSXA13 - Self Edge x Iron Heart x Leather Soul x Alden tapered. They are 23 oz, most places charge extra for heavier denim but Railcar didn't.

Thigh: 11.5 -> 11
Knee: 8.7 -> 7.25
Leg Opening: 8.0 -> 6.25

Anyone know of websites that may still carry Black APC New Standards? Looking for a pair.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the Iron Hearts, though the ones I saw were still 7". I think ultimately I may end up rolling with the Momo Tight Tapereds and just deal with/recolor the pink threads on the inseam. The fit is nice on them, and exactly what I'm looking for.

u left handed?

I don't think that's a pic of him, just a pic he found. The left hand does look swollen from that angle in the pic.

Finally got around to cop the kanye apc's. This is the most I spent on jeans. I know a lot of people weren't really feeling this year's edition but I have ever to say they fit me perfectly and they are easily the best clothing purchase I have ever made :pimp:

I heard they were paper thin. How's the weight?

I am a bit nervous vere here...

I just took 3 pairs of my Naked and Famous Skinny Guy Selvedge to the tailor... to have the leg openings reduced from 8.5" to 7".

The tailor said he would start the taper above the knee, to ensure it would not be overly aggressive at the bottom. He also agreed to use the inner part of the denim, to leave the selvedge in tact.

Here is the kicker...

He is charging me $20.00... for all three pairs?!?!? LOL... should I be worried?

Sorry but what is the Rick with tailoring? As long as the denim stays the same(they don't wash it) shouldn't be a problem

^ hard to say.

Hopefully you hammered home exactly what you want, and he interpreted it, and can do exactly what you want.

You either got a super deal or took it to somebody that's gonna screw up the whole vision. Lol

Why don't you take a pair of jeans to him that you don't really care about and have him taper from the inseam? Then you can see if he's legit without much at stake. That's what I would do.

Lmao $20 to taper 3 pairs is suspect. Maybe he meant $20 each but didn't say it right?

Of course the denim is going to stay the same but the problem would be if a tailor tapered your jeans from the out seam instead of the inseam the Selvedge line would be lost or messed up so you have to be specific when dealing with a local tailor. With hemming some may want the chain stitching used on the cuff after hemming and a lot of tailors aren't able to do that. The latter is more nitpicky though

No, that's normal(ish)

My tailor charges $7 per pair to taper

:wow: I need to find a tailor like that. Anytime I've gotten jeans tapered it's been $15-$20

Do you guys just give the tailor the measurements you want and they do it? I tried to take my 221s to a tailor and gave her the measures I wanted for the inseam and leg opening and she sounded confused.

It was weird so I just left.
