Just curious:
What's with the necessity of 3M for jackets? They always stress out that it's for visibility but unless you're running on the road, it's pretty pointless. Is it because people don't want to hit other people? Maybe bicycles (in the first place they shouldn't be on sidewalks)?
I run on sidewalks and parks usually and wearing anything with excessive 3M hasn't really crossed my mind. I used to wear the Kayano 15s and the 3M on it was more than enough.
Can anyone care to explain the whole logic of this?

They need to put the vapor flash material on their Featherlite caps! Now that cap has a great shape and comfort.

Well, it basically is for visibility. Companies aren't going to make separate items for street/nighttime running and non-street running. Plus it adds to the overall design of things and looks cool. I only run early in the mornings when it's still dark. I wish my jackets had more scotchlite on it. They usually just have it on the piping and logos.

Maybe if I got into this whole running thing (I run an avg of 20mi/week during winter and more during the summer), but it's too cold in NYC (for me personally) to run outside. I do my night time runs during the summer and wearing excessive 3M really never crossed my mind. I always ask myself "for what?" Unless I work as garbage picker, construction or traffic police where I need to tell drivers "hey, I'm here so don't run me over".

Exact same way I was feeling when I saw it at Santa Monica. It's amazing how the jacket just straight up glows; even in a room with regular lighting.

Nike Stores in London has the running version for £140 (down from £200) and the football/soccer version - essentially the same with an extra logo - for £125 (down from £250)

u answered ur own question.. stop thinking so hard... its not a test. its for visibility and it looks cool, thats pretty much it... why do shoes have to be different colors? i donno bc ppl like them?

I've ran a couple times with my flash jacket already and its pretty fun seeing all the people turn their heads when they drive past me. I also have to run on the bike lane on some parts where I run but I still feel unsafe with the drivers out here. It's not really worth it for retail but I found it cheaper on eBay and I had extra money
