I would prefer a closer version of the 02s but I missed the ones that came in the pack & they grew on me so I'll cop if they're are similar to those.

But, seriously. That picture CANNOT be the 2012 retro. I really do not want to believe that. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to release that CW right now.
That is the DMP all over again. Basically a replica of a shoe that sat on sale racks less than three years ago.
1992. 2002. 2012.
C'mon. The OG and 2002 versions are so clean and stealth. They define MJ's style in the early-mid 90's.
Throw us a bone, really. It's insane to do this. It'd be like releasing a replica of those Flu Games next year after doing a nice job with Playoffs and Taxis this year.
If there is a chance to stop it, please do.

The release in 2012 (according to a lot of sites) say that it'll be true to OG/2002 version, which is awesome!

THIS. Because of the new pics that I just saw, it is a total pass unless there are some dramatic changes. These are just plain horrible. I passed on the DMP's and for now these. I still got m 2002's.

not true (about the soles), the 2002 black/red vii's are the most durable shoe i have ever owned. if you see a pair that looks good, buy them. they do no have to be ds. i wore mine so much in the ten years i had them and they were still nds when i sold them a couple of months back.
btw: the ONLY reason i let them go was they became too big for me. ..... yeah my feet are shrinking. seriously, by a lot too.

Yeah the black faded, but they didn't come that much pre-faded out of the box though.

@Stillln729...I'm not trying to be rude or disrespect, but if my rationale for purchasing the 2012 version was because "this is what the OG's/2002's would look like after wearing them for a few years..."
Then I'd be one to go out and buy those ripped and faded jeans that are so fad and chic nowadays.
Not me. I'd prefer to put those babies on my feet and be transported back to 1992 and feel like a pimply 13-year-old again and get squirrely and wanna cruise or ball in them again...
As it stands now, I would just be looking at a shoe I laughed at three years ago when it went on sale...a shoe my friend couldn't even find someone to buy for $50 so he could just keep the Orlando's

I've passed on many many kicks I was unhappy with.
If these release in the same form as those sample pictures, I will do the same again. I'm sure they will sell out, but I will not be contributing to that hysteria.

If those are releasing I will be disappointed. JB can get the olympic vii's somewhat similar to the past, but these charcoal retros just aren't cutting it for me.
