No man.  V2 was a plastic composite material with flywire strands on top.  Definitely not skinwire.

I can't get excited about the IX for two reasons... the Hyperfuse Tech and the fact that as the list shows Fuse tech just doesn't give you many color options.. its mostly a one colored shoe with minimal trim.

Whats to be excited about that? As mentioned if I see the one option like the Soldier I will tell Nike to go F them selves.. lol

I just wont get my hopes up for something great as far as color or trim options but will hold out hope it could happen...If not have fun and give us the II, III or VII on ID
I wouldn't jump to too many conclusions about minimal color options..
one colorway that I've seen a linesheet for is described as: Cannon/Total Orange/Team Orange/Volt

sounds colorful

These, KD4's, and Kobe VII's are a great line of sigs that Nike has lined up. If Lebron's continue to be the most expensive, I just hope more colorways get released.

Not really IX related,
but here are pics of LeBron wearing his new logo during a recent photoshoot after being named the new global ambassador of Audemars Piguet watches

for those who weren't aware of his new logo

his LJ23 logo was a classic. That logo was so smooth and appealing to the eye. His new crown/LJ logo is just as appealing as hyperfuse material

I'm sorry, but the old LJ23 logo is frickin' horrible. It's a jumbled up mess. The new logo is so much cleaner.

The old LJ23 logo is not really appealing to me. I like how simple the new one looks.

This is good in the long run because people will instantly recognize it.

I agree that the original Logo was just mashed together and wasnt logoesgue. I dont think the new one is either.

With the last one you would see it on a shoe with a Lion, a Dunkman, a Swoosh and LJ23. a logo needs to be all encompassing of the person and represent its brand.

Neither do that. The Dunkman is far more easier to recognize. The Team Line should be represented by the Lion and let the Shoe stand on its on design.

Does anyone have a picture of that Levi's logo that the old LBJ logo gratuitously ripped off?

The new logo isn't bad, but I also like the lion better.
I think the way that the lion was placed on the entire tongue of the 8 was perfect, I actually wouldn't mind it being a staple.

"Protect and Propel" is exactly what Air Max (Support) and Zoom Air (Response) is...
I'm anxious to see the LeBron 9, but like many on here, I've yet to see a shoe with fuse technology that looks timeless.

If they're like the V3 then i'm kind of ehhh about them, i just dont think it has the asthetic appeal to sell as anything other than a basketball shoe.

And you know the vast majority of lebrons aint getting mashed up on a court........

We await sample pics with great interest
