Shoe purchase for me has absolutely nothing to do with being a fan of the player. I bought the first 3 lebrons because they were great performance shoes, I never really got into collecting them because they always seemed to be around. Same with the 9s. I have jordans, penny's, barkleys, and other hot fire for styling. Fan of brandon Jennings and kevin durant but would never buy the shoe. Fan of kobe's game but don't dig low tops like that.

I passed on shoes i should've had b/c I hated bron back in 07. i.e. the dunkman, blk/gold and china VII's.
still hated bron once the south beach VIII's dropped but by that time he had already made himself irrelevant/ a non-factor in my eyes by teaming with wade so I went ahead and copped em. plus they're just CRACK, the hell with who's sig the shoe is.
ever since then I have been payin a lil more attention to brons sigs and i've been kickin myself for passin on a few VII's.
never again. the shoes come FIRST...

JB is keeping afloat because of the retros. There new %!$+ is better quality but its ugly as @$*$. I wouldn't be caught rocking any of that garbage.

My definition of a fan is a person that supports a Team or player. You follow that team/athlete, root for them & want them to win. Aka your a fan of the San Antonio Spurs thus your a fan of Tim Duncan or Tony Parker. Your a fan of MJ.....then you should be rooting for Derrick Rose right now.
So once again.....How can one be A FAN of both MJ & Lebron?

I don't like Kobe either, but do like Jordan and Lebron. I respect all of their game, but they each have different styles. Same reason everyone doesn't like the same rappers. Everyone has their opinion.

what he said is by no means 'nonsense'. Nonsense is like when people are the fans of two rival teams---people who are fans of the Celtics and Lakers or the Knicks and the pacers or whatever.
And MJ transcended a "team", EVERYBODY loved MJ. Don't matter what your "team" was your fav player was most likely MJ.
Fan of a team is NOT the same thing as people a fan of a player.
