MonStar1 actually looks pretty good
I think he could def. drop a couple buckets
it also looks like he carries the team he plays for
I like your game and your look/seem very athletic

Probably 4 points... off free-throws.

never said I was....I just answered the hypothetical question that was "how many would you score in a 48 min NBA game".  I said 10 and I'm an above average athlete.

Darius Washington is an elite athlete and he's your height, playing in Macedonia. "Above average" 6'2 guard is not even seeing a 10-day.

what does that have to do with the question?

Darius Washington isn't out the league because he isn't a great athlete.  It's a combination of skill, attitude, bball IQ, and personal goals thats kept him out the league.

Look at Gerald Green and James White and countless other athletes.  NBA is the best athletes in the world who can play basketball not just the best athletes.

I agree with your last statement, but by saying you would drop 10 in an NBA game just sounds ridiculous and shows that you really dont know how good these dudes are. Their talent is literally worth millions of dollars. Look at Shannon Brown. He's a freak athlete. He can jump out of the gym, catch on fire from the three, slash, etc, and my dude NEVER averaged 10 points in the league. Your statement pretty much says you would be a better scoring option than most bench players in the league. I will admit that you are an above average athlete, not at the NBA level though.

I'm good for at least 2 wide open threes. I'd be the guy the defense sagged off of, and I'm a decent three point shooter. We'll never find out though

I'm in the same boat as you. lol.

I wouldn't even play D so I could "conserve" my energy....with that being said 2-4 points.

I'd cherry pick, get fouled and hit a few FT's

I got good range on my 3's but I would be shook out there

probably airball a few. If they left me wide open I could maybe a hit a couple 3's

We need to remember and keep the original question in mind and not
overthink this. The question was simple and guys are just answering.
Don't say what another man can/can't do in the NBA! lol

1. THeres a big difference between averaging 10 points and scoring 10 points, also guys scored well over there average all the time its not a talent issue for the most part.
2. Shannon and other players have to play within there talent and the coaches philosophy.  He can't go ham cuz he will get took out the game.
3. I have a great understanding for pro talent.

So no I'm not saying I'm a better option than guys in the NBA.  I'm saying with a green light to shoot and 48 mins, with a damn 24 sec, shot clock I'm getting up 25-30 shots and I will end up with at least 10points.  Deal with it.

But yea, conditioning is key. I think you all don't understand how long an NBA Court is. After 2-3 transition opportunities (O and D), you will be calling for a sub. You will be SCARED and you will have beasts bumping you and playing D on you, man you will be tired after 2 mins. This is not the same as playing against Bruce and Steve at Morgan Park Recreation Center. And then you will be nervous as hell, your mind won't be able to allow you to score.

But honestly, I think I could hit a few open shots. I have a mean floater so I could get that off too. Not sure if I would make anything though. I can get a shot off though.

MonStar... there's no doubt you have hops. You were probably a pretty good D3 player, and a lot of people mistakenly underrate D3 competition.

But for four years, I did radio commentary for every home game at my D3 in one of the nation's most competitive D3 conferences. I saw a lot of cats come through including a national champion team. Probably 5-8 kids that will go on to be named in their school's hall of fames. NONE of them are doing anything in an NBA game. The best they might see is some overseas league.

Put it this way, what do you think Jacob Tucker would score? Because I think we can all agree that his athleticism is in the upper 1% for D3 kids.

1 point, I'll find some way to get fouled and miss the first free throw, while making the 2nd one

I'm only shooting open half court shots bringing the ball up the court. I'd score 0 unless one of them miracles went in.

Lets see...i averaged 7 points a game at an NAIA school....so ..ill assume I could score 2 points in an NBA game

At first I thought maybe I would be able to get a sneaky lay up in via a back door cut.... But then I thought some more and realized I the ball would be outta my hands for like .5 seconds then swatted into the 4th row

damn.

some people in this thread really need to gain some perspective

.  we're talking about some of the GREATEST athletes in the whole world, the best conditioned and most disciplined when it comes to diet.

As of right now probably only 4 pts or less. In good shape, long arms and fast, but not NBA shape to go 48min. Also depends on who is guarding me. Put Matt Carroll against me and I'll blow by him..... doesn't mean I'll score with towers down below tho.
laugh.gif
If I was still in HS before I got a bad knee I would of said 10pts or more. I played basketball from 7 to 16 just about everyday as sg. NBA was my only dream.
