NBA players are like Thor in most of you guys eyes because you've never been an athlete at any level.

ive played against a elite nba before(Durant), role player NBA players(Lawson, Blanch, Shawn Williams and Sam Young) and major D1 players.

trust me when i tell you, if one of them dudes say this bamma right here isnt going to score one bucket this game(no sagging d and no uncontested jump shots for you)...believe me you wont score.
same here.  you think ty lawson can stop me from scoring for 48mins?  he wont ever double the post? he wont rotate on help d? hes gonna chase down block my lay-ups? effff outta here

boy stop... NT has many D1 soccer players, a few of us have played D1 football, and several have also ran track at D1...

again... boy stop..... being over 6 foot dont mean you have ANY sort of chance at gaurding some of the 2s n the league
laugh.gif

Edit: notice i didnt discredit your claim of gettin 10 pts... if your playin the whole game and aint gettin benched i too think you could cherry pick 5 buckets by games end but thats it... the rest of your time on the court would be a disgrace to your family

Son Im going head first into the lane. Bound to get at least one call. Im gonna talk to the refs jogging up the court like Kobe do to "persuade" them

Son I know people here in Akron that will do that. You'll score a couple buckets but for the most part you'll be a non factor. These aren't even the people I know in the league or on the college level. Who I'm sure will COMPLETELY lock you. You aren't that sweet dude. Ty Lawson..a full 4 inches shorter than you...would make you food. Stop gassin yourself.

I'm super fast so I know I'll be running around screens like Rip the entire game. My handle is sick so I'm sure I could catch someone slipping and get a few good looks. If I had the green light to shoot 15-20 shots I would score at least 6 points. I would say more, but UI know I'd be rushing almost every shot.

The rhythm of your average NBA game is what I think most people aren't considering.. First of all your teammates and opponents are going to be faster than anyone of us have ever seen or played against. It might look average speed on TV but trust me it's not. If you happened to get an open look, it's going to be rushed and therefore your chances of making the shot are slim.  I originally was going to say 10 points, but I'm going to change that to 2.

you guys are straight dummies when it comes to basketball and quite emotional as well.

I'm not saying I'm better than anyone in the league. Never have.

But if you've ever seen basketball at a high level you know you can't "lock-up" somebody to the point where they don't score. ESPECIALLY if they have a jumper shot, ball-handling skills, and an athletic ability.  This thread is comedy.

Do you know how many shots teams get off in a NBA paced game? Do you know the rules? A well timed pump fake will put me on the FT line.  Open shots happen in real basketball. Not in the pick-up garbage you guys might play where some goon face guards you and pulls your shirt all game.

The shots will be there. It's up to the player to make them.

I can't get off a 1 dribble pull up as a 5'10 guy closes out?  STOP IT! You telling me if one of my teamates drives and kicks I can't make a jumper?

I'm sorry this thread really shows the fact that most of ya'll hate for entertainment or you don't know basketball.

you say 6 foot, 180 like that's big or something
Don't let the hair fool you, Korver is 6-7, 212. Plus you'd be chasing him around screens all game, anyway.

That's not even big in real life.. I would back someone that slight, down every single time down the court..  I'm 6'0 220, and not fat by any means..

You are not backing Kyle Korver down.  Sit down.

I'm not D.Rose but I'm more athletic than a lot of guys in the league.

You're nice compared to the common pick-up artist. I'd pick you up for my rec league.
But, lil Romeo can do all of that...and he never sniffed double digits in college.
Ive hooped with some of the dudes on varsity at my school (a bottom-feeder in the ACC) and we have a scrawny unassuming looking white kid that made every shot and threw himself an -oop in our game. He's a walk-on and he'll never see the floor this season.
But, I do see what you're saying. You would have a shot at scoring 10 if you played 48 minutes and had the green-light to shoot whenever.

Truth, you wouldnt even score on Boykins, stop it brah.

actually in 48 minutes, you might get a bucket or two but i know how a player like you is. $100 buck says you would give up 50+ to Boykins.

most players like yourself who hype himself up and all they care about is offense are usually the ones who have the worst possible defense alive.

i can do those dunks... the ball was never more than 3 or 4 inches above where you needed it to be to clear the rim.... you aint gettin to the rack son... you minus whale start practicin that rondo floater now if u contend you gettin double digits

How am I trolling? I'm confused to why you are trying so hard to slander my talent? Go reread I never said I was better than any NBA players. It seems like you are mad I'm not in the same lane as you

and if you doubt me.  TRUTHFULLY I GET BUSY!

I'm an above average athlete even at the NBA level.
I don't doubt you would get a couple buckets if you played 48 mins... but this statement is comical

Ok, after re-analyzing the question, in a typical NBA structured game, most if not all of us would get 0 points.

But if there was no pressure to win, and coaches and players did not care about how many shots you took or whether you played defense or not, I'm sure many of us would get a few buckets.

I'm sure I could go 3-35, shooting nothing but 28 footers. If anything the defense would take their chances laying off me, because it would slow down the rest of the offense, while allowing me to shoot low percentage shots. However, the team I played for would be blown out. So realistically, no coach would ever allow it.
