^ You say bummy as if his shooting ability is bummy though. I understand the point you are trying to make but at least use someone that isn't known as a spot up shooter as an example of "even ____ could make ____ shots."

I think you all are missing what my man Truth is saying.

Trust me, teams have tryouts just to say they did. Hell I coach a middle school team and we had tryouts just to say we did. D-League rosters are practically set. They have dozens of players abroad and domestically that are dying to make the team. Just waiting on a call. Even if someone is good enough, but they are average height (5'10 - 6-4) they have practically no shot of making that squad. Low, low, low probability.

So him believing in himself and even being considered a good ball player is not negated because he wouldn't make a D-League team. I think you all tend to forget how few spots there are in this world for professional basketball players. NBA, forget about it. D-League, forget about it. Overseas, do you know how many graduating seniors in college there are every year that are competing for the same jobs? Think about the international players that want those same jobs. Man, jobs are SLIM to NONE. Even if you are good. It is all about being in the right place at the right time man. Sometimes it isn't even about how good you are.

And no, everyone in the NBA isn't better in everything than everyone not in the NBA. It is possible that Truth is in better shape than Baron Davis. Yes that is very possible. It is possible that I am a better foul shooter than Reggie Evans, yes. It is possible that I have more bounce than Nate Robinson, yea, very possible.

The NBA is home to the combination best/lucky/highest networked 450 players in the world.

My point being... You might think your really good, or you might actually be really good in your small +@# circle... But there will always be someone bigger, faster and better than you. Always.

that video means nothing, im a very talented shooter and can make 85% of my jumpshots shooting around and im talking about 100-150 shots on a normal night.

and if anyone is doubting me ill gladly try and take video of myself shooting at the gym one night.

practice shooting means nothing, sure you gotta be a good shooter to make a crap load of shots in practice but thats all it is. game is where it matters.

I don't think anyone would say that's off....but when you haven't proven it at ANY level outside of pick up, how we supposed to believe it? Didn't play D1, not overseas, not in the D-league but gonna score 10 in the NBA easy? Come on....that's not real. And no video posted has changed anyone's mind.

So do you think Baby Shaq could score 10 points in a game? What about AO? They never played overseas or D1 or in the D-League. There are tens of thousands of people that go against that claim.

No I don't. AO couldn't make an NBA squad. Baby shaq I think could. Difference is you can easily see they're talented enough to play on that level. I don't really even think dude could average more than 7 on a D1 squad so no I don't believe in that claim at all. Period.

Dude, we are speaking hypotheticals. None of us would make an NBA team but we are still speaking of the thread title. What does AO not making an NBA team have to do with whether or not he COULD (once) score 10 points in a game?

So again, not playing anywhere on a pro level doesn't mean someone can't do it, nor should it be used as a determining factor.

I seriously think I could score at least 4. All I need is a few good looks and I'm taking that jumper.

Just a reference point to why I said what I did. Going with what you are saying I could fathom AO scoring 10. And I understand your point. However you can't expect me to believe this claim with no proof besides a couple pick up games. Nothing about anything I've seen screams scoring anywhere near double digits. If it does for you fine but me? No

Oh I understand your point as well, why believe the dude when he has no real experience. I understand completely. But my point was that just because he has no pro experience doesn't mean he isn't pro material. The word pro used loosely.

I googled AO. He did play a stint in the D League.

*edit* and as for Baby Shaq at least what he has going for him is he developed a reputation and at least has verbal support from actual NBA players.

Truth is just a D3 player who put up mediocre numbers for his squad.  If it weren't for how hard he plugs himself, I'm not sure if anyone knows about the guy.

You are not backing Kyle Korver down.  Sit down.

Never said anything about backing Kyle down.. I was referring to the 6' 180lb individual..

^ What would that prove? Even the ones that aren't fat and liars and that would show up, the best of us still couldn't validate their claims in the NBA.

I keep reading that some people think anyone on that level would give us enough room to get even one shot up. Imagine running a couple of games at your local spot. A nobody comes off of the street and says he could light your best player up for 10 points in a game. You are the said "best  player".. You giving the nobody an inch of space, or are you going to try to lock him up? What makes you think anyone in the league is giving you any room to even attempt a shot?

I'm 5'10 220 and dunking.
Im on that Truth-echelon of athleticism

Depending on how much playing time I'd get but I could probably get one bucket tops. Then my conditioning vs. theirs would get the best of me.

Nope, not true. 11% body fat..  and no I will not be posting any pictures. You will just have to take my word for it.

There are plenty of people that have my measurements  and they aren't fat. No roids, just a healthy diet, some gym time, and cardio.
