Denver Nuggets (10-4) 2023-24 Season Thread: 11/22 @ Magic

Fournier been balling lately, good luck tonight fellas.

We need it, but it's going to be really rough in Denver.

Hope it's a good one.

Would yall sign Granger if it meant not signing Iggy? I'm a defense guy so that's why I love Iggy but he has been TERRIBLE on offense this year. Regressive aint the word.

Very bitter sweet. The only positive is that they got the win. Hopefully they can hold on until lawson gets back. I'm holding out hope for Gallo

What a horrible night.

Gallo hurts his knee, and Mavs blow the game.

It's really too bad about him.. |I

Yall deserved the game though. When you don't rebound, you lose basketball games. That's what the Mavs did tonight.

See yall next week.

I think Chandler should take over Gallo's minutes and still have Brewer come off the bench.

I think a long playoff run is still doable, as long as Ty is back and healthy.

Sucks about Gallo, though.

Iggy and Fournier :pimp: :pimp:

Probably the most balanced game offensively of the season 7 players in double figures...with top 2 scores down.

That was an awesome game to watch last night. The Rockets looked content to play at the Nuggets' pace, which is always good at the Pepsi Center.

Iguodala is going to have to really lock in & focus on the offensive end like he did yesterday. Can't have his lackadaisical performances without Ty & Gallo.

Fournier has the potential to be great if he keeps working. How he performs at 20 years old with only 33 NBA games played (most with limited minutes), is pretty special. He's composed, isn't afraid to attack and can finish well, can knock down the 3, step in for the pull-up mid-range, has good vision and is smart. Pretty rare for a young guard.

Excellent win, iggy needs to stay aggressive and attack the rim to score not pass.

Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson returns to basketball activities

On Saturday, Nuggets guard Ty Lawson returned to basketball activities for the first time since March 27, as he works his way back to the lineup after finding out he had a complete tear of the plantar fascia in his right heel.

Going through some light drills after the Nuggets' shoot-around on their practice court, Lawson said the heel "felt all right. Started getting sore toward the end, but it's getting a little bit better." The Nuggets' point guard expects to return before the end of the regular season but would not put a timetable on it.

"I'm going to keep doing this for the next couple of days and try to figure out what I'm going to do," said Lawson, the Nuggets' leading scorer at 16.7 points per game. "(I want to play in)

"I think he should play," Karl said. "I think how he plays, it might not be 100 percent, but he's got to learn how to play on it when he's 70 percent, 80 percent. Maybe we can't get 35 minutes a game out of him, but can we get 25 minutes out of him? You don't want to determine that with your home court in the first two games in the playoffs. I don't think you want to do that."

It was also the first run-through for all the things that will be in his shoe when he returns. Lawson said he had "heel pads and things for my arch" in the shoe. The arch supports were used from a mold of his foot taken a few years ago. He acknowledged he's going to have to play through some pain, saying, "At some point, I'm going to have to."

But overall, Lawson was optimistic.

"It's getting a little bit better," he said. "The soreness is going down a lot. Just trying to get my wind back and get back to the feel of basketball ... I feel like being out there playing. Being patient is not one of my strong suits."
