Denver Nuggets (10-4) 2023-24 Season Thread: 11/22 @ Magic

If they can beat sacramento on the road they can have a nice little win streak by the time they play NY next week.

Yup. I have little doubt they'll be amped up and ready for the Clippers on Thursday, I'm just a little concerned they'll come out flat against SAC, MIN or PHX.

Aside from the slip in Washington, they've been playing great ball since the All-Star break--got to keep the momentum going.

21 games remaining in the regular season, tough ones look to be:

3/7 vs LAC
3/13 vs NYK
3/15 vs MEM
3/19 @ OKC (Nuggets on b2b after playing in Chicago)
3/27 @ SAS
3/29 vs BKN

4/3 @ UTA
4/10 vs SAS

Those will be a tough 8 games, but the other 13 are against teams the Nuggets should beat--not saying they will. Looking at the rest of the schedule, this squad should finish with over 50 wins. And finishing the season with @ DAL, vs POR, @ MIL & vs PHX should serve for a nice momentum builder heading into the Playoffs, as long as they take care of business.

Solid win last night. I'm expecting them to be fired up for the Clippers game and Chauncey's homecoming. The crowd should be amazing.

Anybody else hear somebody in the crowd yell "retire!" at Andre Miller towards the end of the game and him angrily respond with, "I'll play til I'm 45!".

The Memphis game is the biggest game of the season for the team. Nuggets win and they win the season series which will be a huge step in getting homecourt in the first round.

Who do you guys want in the first round? MEM or LAC.
watching the Nuggets lately, if they could somehow play Golden St it would be like a first rd bye for them, easy money

.. mem or lac is gonna be tough so neither

Nuggets’ 13th Consecutive Win Sets Record

But in the pregame locker room, the Nuggets’ veteran guard delivered a powerful, passionate speech, channeling the oration of, say, Jesse Jackson, who just happened to be at Tuesday night’s Nuggets-Thunder game.
“One amazing speech — guys were just amped up, ready to play,” Denver forward Kenneth Faried said after the Nuggets’ 114-104 win, Denver’s 13th consecutive, a franchise-NBA record. “He said it doesn’t matter that we’re coming off a back-to-back, it doesn’t matter that we went to overtime — we’re going to play this game hard and with pride. We don’t have any excuses. Andre Miller is a guy who doesn’t really say much, but when he talks, everybody listens, nobody’s playing around.”

Still pissed about that BOS game but :pimp:

Nuggets announce that Wilson Chandler is doubtful for Thurs vs Philly -- left shoulder 1st-degree AC joint separation. X-rays negative

From what I've read 1-3 weeks recovery time.

Chandler can take as much time as he needs to get 100% healthy. As long as he's back before the playoffs I'm good
