Nuggets SF Danilo Gallinari has ankle injury, is day-to-day
By BENJAMIN HOCHMAN

Danilo Gallinari, Denver Nuggets
Last season, getting hurt, well, hurt Danilo Gallinari’s growth as a player. Now he’s injured again, although it might not be serious. Gallo has a left ankle injury and is day-to-day, heading into Wednesday’s season opener at Philadelphia.

“I don’t know what exactly happened,” Nuggets coach George Karl said. “I know he took himself out of practice.”

Gallinari has had some good games in the preseason for Denver, averaging 15.3 points per game, four rebounds and three assists.

Also, Karl said that reserve forward Wilson Chandler, recovering from hip surgery, will be able to play against the 76ers, but Chandler won’t play in both games of back-to-backs early this season. Denver’s second and third games this season are back-to-back – at Orlando on Friday and at Miami on Saturday.

GK is always sticking his nose in situations he needs to stay out of. What benefit does calling anyone out do for this team?

Should be a great game tomorrow y'all....looking forward to how Iggy fits in with you guys, he'll give you a truly elite defender out there...oh and the yellow unis are fire, I enjoy cheering for your squad aside from my Sixers. Denver has a really strong team, but hope we take it tomorrow night

@TyLawson3: Looks like im going to be a nugget for another 4 yrs. Thanks to Kroenke family, Masai, fans & everybody 4 believing in me

@WojYahooNBA: Ty Lawson's extension with Denver is four years, $48 million, league source tells Y! Sports.

I know it's the first game of the season, but that was pathetic. :smh:

100% the truth Blazers. Same song and dance from a GK coached team. Losing games they should win, winning games they should lose. Too much talent, not enough leadership, heart or toughness. The best players and most impactful guys will ride the bench.

:smh:

Well, at least Gallinari went at it tonight. Can't say the same about any of the other rotation players. Fully expect to drop to 0-3 after tomorrow night.

Yup. At least the performance against the Heat was somewhat encouraging. This team should be able to get things on track at home against the Pistons.

Looked pretty good last night against Utah, outside of JaVale & Gallinari. Faried is playing out of his damn mind right now.

I still can't believe how well Brewer is shooting this season. Crazy how much he improved his J in the off-season.
