The Official Reebok Question (A.I.) Thread.

Oh Okay I see, I don't think curry acts like that though

I haven't watched him too much other than the playoffs last year and about 12 gms this year, but I don't know if I've ever seen him actually say anything to any of his teammates on the court. I just see him point or low-5 guys after free throws. He's always too busy chewing on that stupid mouthguard.

Blech... I hate him.

Same as how I hate Curry, and hated Jeter and even Jordan. I have a real problem with dudes that act like they're better than their teammates, even when they are. It's just something about their attitudes I really loathe. On a visceral level.
What?

You must hate every athlete

What?

You must hate every athlete

Lol, nah. There are superstars that you can tell aren't sociopaths. Dudes who know there've been better before them and will be better after. I just appreciate guys who have a modicum of humility. And I don't mean "gee gosh" type guys like Peyton Manning, just athletes who understand that there's more to making a great team than just their own singular greatness.

Pics of your psychology degree or it didn't happen.

I get what SNKRFollower is talking about. Kobe is like that because he was teammates with Shaq who was probably more ego hungry than Jordan.. That attitude will rub off on you and you'll start becoming the same way. Then again, you have Tim Duncan who made his way to becoming the greatest Power Foward of all time while being as humble as possible. I guess it's just how you were brought up.

Examples?

yeah for me I don't like Kobe for the whole snitching thing with shaq and I believe he even told on karl malone

also he should've retired 5 years ago and how he turned the lakers into a landfill of a place where no one with sense wants to play

always came off as one of the more selfish players but eh...

I think the biggest problem I have with him in general is he shoulda been in prison for what he did in Colorado. That case basically was basically the epitome of victim-blaming defense and became the justification for shield laws for victims. That girl got destroyed by the media. Had he been disliked by the public (like Tyson had been), he'd have been doing some hard time.

Examples?

Just off the top of my head, and based on how I've seen them act during games and in interviews (which is how I also base not particularly caring for Kobe, etc.): Durant, Magic, Gretzky, Zo, Griffey Jr, Ovechkin, Brett Hull, Dame Lillard, David Robinson, Harden, D-Wade, David Ortiz, Pedro Martinez, Drew Doughty, Olajuwon, Clayton Kershaw, PK Subban, Roberto Luongo, Jeff Gordon...

Now, my favorite baseball player of all time is Nomar Garciaparra, who some people (mainly Dan Shaughnessy, a columnist for the Boston Globe) said was a jerk, but other than him being miserable when he was injured in '04 (after the Sox screwed him out of his cotract extension AND botched a trade attempt for A-Rod), he always seemed like a good teammate and seemed to enjoy playing the game.

I think that's the biggest thing to me about pro athletes; I want to get the sense that they actually enjoy being paid millions of dollars to play a game. Sure I like seeing them show competitive spirit and appreciate the will to win, but when it turns into simply being a constant singular drive to prove you're better than other people at what you do, it creeps me out just as it would by anyone in any other profession. Amd I wouldn't ever claim that Kobe and the others I don't like aren't great athletes, or that I don't appreciate their talent & abilities. I just don't like 'em.

Well lets keep it on court all players do ****** stuff off court some are just more willing to cash out to cover it up. Plus Tyson i dont belive did it and kobe... well you know.

So I stopped by the city of Commerce Citadel outlets today and they were a dud. I checked out Reebok and didn't see much if any deals. I finally picked up both colorways of the low top Questions (blue toe & black toe). Luckily I picked up the last sz 12s they had. Total was $153, not bad and they weren't flawed at all. Good quality!

You can probably phone in an order, Trent. I don't know how much they charge for shipping though.

I was kinda surprised they didn't have Kamikaze, Shaqs and pumps of any kind. It was all running shoes and some scattered sizes for ventilators.

I'm patiently waiting for FNL to drop the price on the ASG colorway. Not paying $139.99 for them plus I have a WC reward. Gotta happen soon.
