OFFICIAL RAP BATTLE THREAD: Hitman Holla vs. Aye Verb p.12

Haven't followed the scene since Mook and the other regulars were running it.

My initial thoughts:

When did rappers stop caring about pretending like it was freestyle'd?

When and why did prop's become acceptable to use in a battle? You really bringing out table's & golf clubs just to prove your point?

What happened to the battle scene? Seem's so damn fake now. It lost it's grittiness to me.

I just hate when rappers bring up current events in they battles ie. Black teens being murdered, i know we battle rapping but if you are gonna say you do something for mike brown and then talk about killing someone that defeats the purpose. Same problem that i had with mook when he won the crowd over vs iron solomon with the trayvon line. idk man as a fan of the art i dont wanna hear reaches dealing with real life situations and news. I feel as if it's disrespectful to the victims family. And just perpetuates the stereotype all black people know is murder, but then again this is what sets rap from hip hop, my bad yall im just a lil fried

My only problem with it is that the opponent really cant respond to it because if they do then they racist. ******** move in my eyes

true yo very true

Suge lost but had some of the hardest hitting lines in the battle

"but you up here spittin like somebody believe you . you wanna rap *****, i NEED to" :x :x

the last half of his 3rd round was hard as hell and he had some bars in between the 1st and 2nd

Even with that he got 30'd

Trailer was cool great post.

I think the styles are so conflicting it makes for the perfect matchup, it's basically the epitome a Smack battler vs the KOTD/Grindtime.

Personally I don't care for Dizs style and I'm not sure Cass flow is up to speed for the new breed but I'm definitely gonna check it out.

Anubis' pyramid scheme bar.

Damn yall said Xcel got robbed? I thought the battle was close.

I would very much enjoy a rematch.

the dj's scratches started getting annoying.Verbs 3rd ended awkward .Both had cold lines though, props to the sportsmanship on both ends. "we can't go back and forth over the net, that's wimbledon"

Verb lost to Danny, his 3rd round made it undebatable imo......just felt Danny lines hit way harder throughout the battle.

Rex will be fine , plenty top tier dudes have taken a beating and have had good battles after that.

Verb is a good example becuase Clipse killed him and even Rex beat him for 10 stacks at summer madness and he's still around.
