Spring 2012

Agreed. 3s, 4s, 5s and even 2s looked better, but they are so comfy, I almost don't care how they look.

Looks like the V6 X LunarEclipse 2. I like them a bit more than the 6 designwise. I just hope they don't apply the Volt FW to every cw like the Ec2. I can't wait to see more cws.

For kicks (aesthetics)... 3 > 4 > 5 > 7 > 6 > 2 > 1

I've only had the 4s, so I ask how did the successors compare? I'm in the market for "heavier" runners for training, so, come race day, I could switch to my FRs or LTs (word to the Bron 8!).

5s and 6s aren't a whole lot different than the 4s or 3s. The midsole of the 7s looks pretty different. Not heavy though.

Good to know. BTW, Jeff, do you have any of your older pics of the 3s in the Volt or Red cws?

Here are some pics of the red 3s and 4s together.  I couldn't find any volt 3 pics on my flickr, but I still have the shoes.

No segmented heel crash pad?

I'm curious about the feel/heel to toe transition of them. And if they stuck with Cushlon and Zoom Air....

I'm surprised about the crash pad too.  The midsole says "cushlon" and zoom is still in the model name, so I'm guessing so.

I still want a pair of Vomero's, especially after I blew out my Equalons at the Marine Corps Marathon.  How are these compared to the Equalon's?  Vomero's in general I mean.

^ I'd like to know as well. One thing I know between the two is that both have Zoom in their forefoot and heel. I think the Equalons are a bit more expensive, IIRC.

As far as I know, the only major difference between the Vomero and Equalons is in the midsole; the Equalon has dual density foam (more stability), whereas the Vomero does not (Neutral shoe)

Bingo!  Equalons are going to be more firm, Vomeros are going to be soft

For all the Vomero 6 fans, RunningWarehouse has them on sale for $99.99 + a 15% coupon code floating around.  I believe its 'fb15d'.

I actually just picked up a pair of the Vomero 6 at a Nike outlet (Woodbury) president's day weekend. I've also seen them in the Niagara Falls outlet as well... Scooped up my pair for ~$75 on president's day, and i believe this was the outlet's reg price. shouldn't be too hard to track down a pair

oh yes the most comfortable shoes i've tried on. hopefully this doesn't disappoint. loved the 6s
