Nike Zoom Vomero+ 7

I got these on Friday and ran in em on Sunday. Very comfortable. I haven't run in a traditional Nike running shoe in a long time, but I really enjoyed these. (been running in lunars and  frees for Nikes, though my main shoe the last couple of years has been the Saucony Kinvara)

The upper fit and felt great. Plenty of room in the toe box; no heel slip, and my foot felt stable the whole time with no sliding around. I have narrow feet, so that can be an issue sometimes. Seems like Nike really nailed it with the dynamic fit straps in the midfoot area. The heel and forefoot zoom felt great of course too. And I really like the look of the shoe. (got the main grey, dark royal swoosh colorway.)

Anybody else ran in these yet?

Off topic, but can any owners of the Vomero 3s give their opinion on how they fit?

For reference, I own the Vom4s, and I had to go 1/2 down, as they fit pretty big. Should I opt for the same size, as I did with the 4s?

The 3's ran pretty big too. I had to get a sz 9 and im usually a 9.5 in most runners but for some reason I get a sz 9 in all the vomeros[roomy toe box]. I've owned vomeros 3-7 now. 3s were by far my favorite. Just got annoying that most of them had that squeaking noise whenever I walked on tile floor at work. [only pair that didn't squeak was the 5s]

I 've worn a size 11 in every Vomero from the 2s to the 7s.

I've run in mine a couple times and also wear them around the house, on quick errands etc. My left shoe, the nike plus compartment squeaks like crazy. Annoys the crap out of me. Also, you canfeel it as you walk. Very annoying. Anybody else having this problem/have a solution? Unfortunately one of my pairs of free run 3's does this also

Finally broke mine out last weekend for casual wear. Very comfy.

Will do a true test "run" (10k maybe) this Sunday, I've been REALLY slacking with my runs

Usually I only run in Asics and wear nike runners for fashion (Nike runners never really worked with my feet for actual running). Picked these up on sale on Nike.com (20% off clearance items) last week and all I can say is WOW...GREAT running shoes.

Just like my asics these have a lot of cushioning but not overly so. I am a big guy (6'6'...250) so I need a lot of cushioning but overly soft running shoes make the bottom of my feet sore after a few miles. I thought with the vomero's rep these would be too soft but for 62 bucks I thought what the heck. Glad I did; I still slightly prefer my Nimbus's but this is the best nike running shoe I have ever owned. These will most def will be added to the rotation.

P.S. - An added bonus is these don't look so bad casually...can't say the same for any of my asics.

Check out this thread:

Basically says that the flexing of that plastic free chip holder is the squeaking that you hear.

I have Free Run 2's and 3's (as well as the Vomero 8) and they ALL squeak. And I have a feeling ALL Nike+ sneakers will have that problem sooner or later (unless Nike re-designed that plastic piece for the Nike+ chip).

Sprinking baby powder under the insole on the plastic free chip slot helps sometimes, but the squeaking usually comes back again (and you'll have to keep adding more baby powder).
