I'm trading with some dude from the other site & I've heard numerous times that people get screwed over there.
He has good references and asked me to ship first but me having 0 posts over there I feel like I might be a victim.
How should I go about this so I don't get screwed NT?

First off there are fraudsters everywhere here, ebay, iss where ever. Second I highly suggest you don't do a trade unless its in person or they're shipping first.

They just created a escrow type service over there. I think you send it to a Mod over there and they inspect both pairs making sure it they meet the trade agreement then ships them at the same time. I think it cost 20 dollars. Feedbacks mean nothing honestly, if the deal goes wrong worst thing a mod can do is ban them.

Bring something, bring a boy, change the location slightly to like, a part across the street from where you originally said, that way you could see if he's rolling solo or not.
