So disappointed in these shoes! I have worn them with the play fast sole and they are terrible! I play one game in them and have to switch back to the 6's cause the 7's suck so bad! They are a lot heavier then the 6. They are bottom heavy, which makes them feel clunky. My feet get fatigued in them after 1 game, and I am in shape shape! The traction is not very good either.

Ok here's my experience with them thus-far.
I played 6 pick up games total. 3 in the Attack Fast. 3 in the Attack Strong. I wore some Nike Elite socks and didn't have any blisters or anything like that.
Attack Strong:
The fit on my ankle was great. Had some really good support and stability in the ankle. As expected, it limited some cutting and movement, but not as much. Played in the post quite a bit to see how much stability it would give with footwork, and it held up really well. The comfort level was really amazing on these.
Attack Fast:
As KobeoverLebron stated, after playing in the Attack Strong.. going to the attack fast is tough. It's definitely lighter and allows more lateral movement quickness. Ankle support isn't as strong of course but it still provides stability.
Honestly, I feel if your a post player, the attack strong is a good fit for you. I always thought Kobes would be a strictly guard-oriented shoe but the attack strong may make a strong case that this is a shoe for post players as well.
On another note, I think my zoom air may have popped... hopefully that is not the case b/c I'm very impressed with the shoe thus-far...

from my experience the 7s really disappointed.... played in them for about an hour before i switched back into my Vs. does anybody else have major heel slippage playing the 7s? i havent had any problems in terms of heel lockdown in both the 5 & 6.

^ i hate to admit it but yes, i've been experiencing heel slippage in them. my feet aren't exactly popping out of the shoe but there is slippage where my feet are moving up and down in the shoe.

i noticed a lot of slippage when i tried the shoes on. they weren't broken in, but it was a lot more than a fresh pair of zk5/6.

guys experiencing slippage try a runners knot, and taping ur ankles might help the blistering. overall i hate these 7s for ball. They rip, they slip, they blister you, you can really feel the laces, they are heavier and more expensive.... my 2 cents.

yeah, no doubt doing that will help the heel issue, but there's still the problem of how high my feet are compared to other shoes i play in. it just feels different because of the midsole.
i'm playing on the balls of my feet a lot and the 7 kinda works against me. and it's very apparent on the shoe because i've already creased the shank plate! i can take pics if you guys want.

Still been playing around in them, nothing serious. But just doing some light pickup games, they attack strong have pretty much been butter on my feet now. Keep in mind I wasnt gunning like I was the first time around so I didnt get the blistering problem this time. I agree with pretty much everyone in the thread that says they can feel the laces but not to the degree than I can complain about them.

All these complaints have left me wondering if I should buy these at all. I need a new pair of shoes to play in and I have only played in kobes for the last 6 years. I'm waiting on the black and grey (anyone with a definitive release date?).
I like a soft/cushy feel in low top. Any suggestions if I do decide to skip the VII's

this pic shows the medial side of the left shoe. the midsole paint wears off pretty easily and the white underneath it is exposed. i thought this paint problem was only with adidas shoes
i do a lot of toe dragging and since i'm a small player, i have to move around a lot. it's a shame that the midsole color underneath the paint isn't black.

overall, this shoe isn't BAD but, at least for me, it doesn't live up to the performance i've grown to love with the 5 and 6. i'm still saying 6>5>7. 6>5 because the 6's have better traction than the 5, are more comfortable than the 5, and i never had the heel lockdown problem after it's been broken into. hope this helps!

took a while to break in however once done they feel great. however would say VI > VII though. so far.

i don't like the lockdown on the VII, i find it too much which makes the shoe uncomfortable to wear.
plus, the lining on the inserts (medial) keeps on rubbing on my arches.
it all feels higher to the ground compared to the V.
V > VI >>> VII
VII is just full of gimmicks.
for god's sake, bring back the regular midsole and tongue on VIII.
