this surprises me.... i had posted a picture in the 2011 thread of benoit assou-ekotto wearing different predator colorways on each foot. however, he's now wearing an adizero on his right foot and predator on his left. he is a one-footed player who has essentially no right foot so i suppose it might make sense to wear a speed boot on your weaker foot (in theory), but for a premier league footballer to go field goal kicker style with odd boots surprises me. it can't feel natural!

I tryed this the other day wearing total shoots on my right foot and my mercurials on my left, and yes it definately feels weird. I was just trying to see if shoot better with my t90's or mercurials and taking reps shooting. More power to him I suppose.

the funny thing is that after i posted this, he scored a cracker of a goal from about 30 yards out.... even the TV announcers mentioned his boots after that. i don't have a speed boot to try it with, but even if i used a CTR on my left and T90 on my right (both with identical elite intertract soleplates) i would be too scared i'd roll an ankle or something lol
 
I mean, if you look at the mercurial in my case, the fiberglass chassis it has is pretty damn sturdy which i would have attributed to it being non-flexible and stiff but it really isn't, the weird sole plate the non elite total shoots have would have made me nervous if I weren't just plugging shots away with my dominant foot. all I have to do is have a sturdy plant and I should be good to go. Now I am not gonna go copy Assou- Kotou but I respect him for doing what he is doing if he feels it aids his game. I'll stick to the same boot on both feet lol.

If it helps him to shoot like that (albeit with a slight deflection) then I hope he keeps wearing them

they're an exciting team to watch. scott parker has to be one of the hardest workers in the premier league, bale's pace is more unreal every time i watch him, and it'd be cool to see brad friedel get a chance to play in champions league next year. i hope - purely for the sake of parity in the league - that they can hold onto luka modrich and he doesn't go to chelsea or man united. i thought he was overrated as the season started, but that's definitely not the case!
 
I agree, Scott Parker works his +*$ off and Bale is turning into one of the best players in the league. As much as I love seeing Scholesy back we need a first team holding/attacking mid. I would gladly take Modric or Sneijder at this point, a playmaker, which at this point Modric is outshining Sneijder only because he has forwards and players to distribute the ball to who shoot and score, Inter does not. Outside of that the other huge gap we have is center back. With Vidic out, Rio aging, Evans unpredictable, it leaves us with Smalling who is extremely slow, and Jones who I thoroughly love but he attacks alot and leaves holes. Evra isn't getting any younger and Rafael and Fabio are extremely ptulant in there play/attitudes sometimes.
 
next argentina match is feb 29 in switzerland; i wonder if he'll be wearing them for barca.... i love seeing legit PE's specifically made for a single player like that!

also of note.... argentina will play brasil june 9 at the meadowlands! i hope they play at night because you'd be able to watch netherlands/denmark and germany/portugal during the day, and then everyone in the tri-state can go watch that game. that'll be a long but good day lol

i'm not a huge fan; hopefully it grows on me. reminds me more of a training top than anything else, but you can tell that they took a cue from the france kit with the ability to roll up the sleeve to 'personalize the shirt' (i think that was nike's marketing spin) and show a different color. i wonder if this leaked earlier than other kits because nike rushed it into development after all the complaints from the barcelona dressing room that the current kit was retaining too much water.

EDIT: home, away and goalkeeper. i hope they come out with a better third kit that involves a lighter blue (like that on the GK shirt)!

and Legea at US Palermo sponsor.

That's a fake PS.  Another site had it and said that it was a fan-made PS and not an actual kit.  Liverpool won't use the bird as a primary crest anymore.  I think it's nice though.  Hopefully Warrior comes through with something as clean as this.
And IMO those Barca kits are terrible.  After the fan backlash of this year's kit, how do they do that cross fade garbage with a single stripe?

  Away looks pretty cool though, and the blue one is supposedly just a training top.
 
It'll be interesting to see how many outlets carry the Liverpool jersey in the US. I know most small shops don't have accounts with Warrior.
