Illinois gave this game away, not saying they would win but jesus christ, turnign the ball over inside your red zone 2 outta 3 series and that 3rd series was adumb@*!+ throw for int.

@ Hershel Dennis getting a Touchdown. this+##@$+ was OJ's back upi wonder if he is going to apply for a 7th year.

and Juice williams go learn how to pass the ball.

well i just got back from the game. the traffic leaving the rose bowl was killer.

anyways, that was fun to watch, and honestly we about scored there again at the end, another 30 seconds on the clock and its 56-17.

I dont know what i was nervous about , that was an old fashioned blowout just like the michigan game last year. There is no way Ohio St. could keep up with SCafter watching this game tonight.

The way we played tonight i dont think anyone could beat us. I sure did enjoy myself though. And im happy for Booty to be able to go out with a win like that.(even though it was againt a far inferior team).

We better get some 1st place votes from someone, the voters BLEW it this year.
Oh well. SC is the power house of College Football in my eyes and there is nobody that can tell me different.

And the respond to Iron Man from the 2nd page, i dont think thats a misconception at all. The UCLA game last year was the same , we couldnt stop the scrambleand thats why we lost.

What a great game, as for all of you haters you can eat a fat %#++! I wish I can say that I am satisfied with this season, but that would be a lie. The loss toStanford really crippled us and our shot at the nc. I have no doubt that we could take LSU or OSU, a healthy Trojans team is the best team in college football.Next season is going to be interesting, 20 Seniors on this years team (11 of them starters). Well until next season, haters %%$$ off and Fight On to my fellowTrojans!!!

Pete was looking like Belichick at the end there looking to score again.

USC certainly looked impressive.

Yup.
On a sidenote, I wish Georgia was in instead of the Illini. Would have been a MUCH better game

Tough Luck for Illinois they had something going early in the 2nd half but USC just stomped it out with those points off of turnovers. But I never reallyfigured Illinois would do anything, so no real surprises.

A blowout is a blowout, but if that receiver doesn't fumble the ball there, its probably 21-17 and ILLINOIS has all the momentum.......damn it

game ended how i thought it would, ILL wasnt gonna win a high scoring game.

what up FBorn.....I see we're on opposite sides once again

...idont hate USC though

You must mean that the Trojans took the game away. Those were two fundamentally sound forced fumbles. Maiava with the punch and Thomas with the strip.

I guess I gave Illinois too much credit, but they were outplayed from the start. I have said it many times before, the Illinois Illini did not deserve a BCSbid. I still don't know how a putrid confrence lke the Big Ten received two BCS bid's. Oh yeah, a "traditional matchup". I would havepreferred Mizzou, but like Florida they were left out because of politics

I didn't see anything special in Illinois, Mendenhall was getting destroyed everytime he would try to put a block on one of our LB's. He didn'treally do anything aside from the broken play when he took it to the house.

I hope Maualuga comes back for his Senior year, but after the monster game that he had (3 sacks, 1 Int) I highly doubt he will be back. Best LB in the Nation, yeah I said it.

I liked what I saw in Joe McKnight, it will be interesting to see the revamped offense next season. Hopefully the WR's step up since they wre the biggestweakness this season. Inexperience will not be an excuse next year.

We did not lose to UCLA because of Cowan's scrambling. We lost that game becuase too many bonehead mistakes were made, and give credit wherecredit is due, DeWayne Walker devised a brilliant defensive game plan and held us to 9 points.

This is coming from a UCLA fan, ya'll are still waiting for Ben Olson to tap into his potential when he is the modern day Chris Weinke, without the "talent".

doubt it too....time for Galippo to move up....

USC is going to be good next year. Can't see Rey coming back. They will need some help in the secondary though. I wouldn't doubt it if Thomas, Ellisonand Harris are all gone next year. Their OLine is going to be pretty young at T. Sanchez is going to have to show he can play consistently but he will get helpfrom the stable of RBs lining up behind him. The WRs will be a lot better next year. Maybe Turner will actually live up to some of his hype. That dude has beena bust for all the praise he has been getting. Their D will still be very good and active. Too much talent for them not to plug in EVERY spot they lose aplayer. The cupboard is not bare for them. I would put them in the Top 5 for next year with UF, OU, The Browneyes and UGA. The SEC is going to be tough and thegame with The Browneyes could be good if any of the Browneyes 13 juniors that put their name out for a feeler in the draft return. College Football for 2008-09is going to be just as good.

BTW, great win by the Trojans. I love seeing that douche Zooker get smoked.

Illinois have been getting disrespected something terrible here. They're a damn good football team, beat Ohio St. in the horseshoe, yet their the 14 point underdogs against an overrated Trojans team that lost to Stanford?

I see the Illini proving all doubters wrong, winning comfortably. 45-24 Illinois.

The Illini are about to Slaughter these overrated%%!# trojans. Boy, i'm ready to see this%%!# kickin.

A great game by usc. Its funny watching them force turnovers though. If you watched almost every tackle a usc defender the first man to the ball almost alwaysattempted a strip, the backup got one in the redzone. Props to the SC defense, they're gonna miss Sedrick Ellis and LoJack though.
