Air Jordan XI CONCORD AFTERMATH thread. STILL NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

nike is somewhat to blame tho

they did stop the overseas sites from selling at the time they normally would which could've diffused some of the hype

all the dates were so close that it was just one big panic after another, i remember one morning i missed out on like 3 different sites and damn near flipped out. alotta those sites would release them on completely different days atleast from my memory

cool greys christmas before last was a breeze on oversees sites

as much as people wanna say these shoes weren't marketed by nike, they were, just not in the conventional expensive way

i mean c'mon, we knew they were releasing before the cool greys even released

My crooked tongues order has been stuck at customs since 1/5.. No ones contacted me regarding the packages. Oh well..

in my size (7.5), they've already dropped to $240-260. I say $230 is the lowest they'll drop.

unless sixfourflipp wears a kids size i wouldn't get his hopes up.
the average price for mens will never go below $250 nevermind close to $180.

I think I know what pics you're referring too and it's NOT obvious at all. Everything that people pointed out that made them fake are "quality" issues commonly seen on store bought pairs as well. If the guy had NOT mentioned they were from MK and placed them side by side next to his other pair, nobody would have said anything. The crazy part is that his so called fake pair looked better than his so called legit pair.

Show me something that's indisputable. Not just a quality issue that we see from one shoe to the next.
This cannot be repeated enough.

prices will dip slightly (as with every release), but once spring/summer comes around and thereafter, prices will be right back up, and possibly higher than the $375-400 they were going for the first weekend after RD since the market wont be flooded like it was/is now

Yeah I don't see all these low prices others are talking about either. Lowest I've seen is around $325.

Of course if you wear a size 7, you can get them a lot cheaper, but what grown man wears a size seven?

i ended up with 5 but giving a sz 13 to a person because if it weren't for him i wouldn't have a job right now.

i don't have time to search 234324 pages to see that mentalkicks isn't legit. i wish the person that posted that link to the restock mentioned that in the same post that they put the link in during the restock as a fair warning. i hate knowing i could lose any part of my 309.00 over this and learning this after the fact that i ordered.

me and others wouldn't be so desperate (and cop from these questionable sites) if this whole release went differently. #*#@%% copping 57 pairs to flip and #*#@%% like me can't even get one pair to rock for anything under 350-400 dollars. #*#@%% even copping multiple pairs in these restocks. like #++%, can a +++#$ just get one pair without a reseller $$*!+$@ up the whole #++%???????
Calm down my man.. back away from the ledge.....
You can only blame the resellers not Nike for the release.

As for Mental Kicks and the authenticity of their kicks.. you cant blame the person who posted... but YOU have to do the research needed to  be happy and content with your purchase.  No person is more responsible for what they purchase than the consumer themselves.
oh, i'm calm.

think about it like this. who the @%#$ wants to pay 309 dollars for b grades and/or fakes?

why the hell didn't the person that posted the link mention that mentalkicks isn't:

a. legit
b. reputable
c. the best communicator
d. all of the above

??

if the cement III's dropped at midnight and i posted a link to some fake site with see through III's and said yeah you could cop here, would %*++%+ not be like df??

anyway i still blame nike for this release as well as the reseller. both parties %%%!@* this release up for a lot of ppl.

i blame myself for having a job and not being able to stand outside for 15 hours to cop these. and not having my finger superglued to the F5 key on my keyboard to sit at home and be able to snipe a pair from the 3243243 resellers out there. and not staying up all night to be able to get a pair from the restocks from european sites that i've never heard of.

i blame myself for not being able to research mentalkicks in .000005 seconds before their restock vaporized like every other site.

FOH at be happy with my purchase. $@%@@ please.

Are you seriously trying to blame someone else for your purchase mistake? Perhaps the person who posted the restock link DID NOT KNOW the authenticity. And apparently you didn't know either because you were too lazy to read the hundreds of forum pages. And at the time of the restock post, there was already chatter about mental kicks jordan authenticity. At most, you should be thankful someone was kind enough to share information. I'll bet you $100 that if the restock was still at MRSP, you would not have seen the restock link until after it was sold out.

And I've seen numerous people try and defend Mental Kicks, so I can see how a mistake was made.

I'm still waiting for someone to post a pair that looks good.

After having copped four pair successfully I have to admit to you guys that i'm exhausted with what it took to get those four pair. I just turned 30 and I spent that much time and effort chasing a sneaker that most adults my age don't know about and frankly don't care about. I have to admit I had a chance to step back and really witness all the hype around this shoe and people willing to pay $500 (which I took full advantage of). The point i'm making is that all these crazy lines, sites crashing, and 700 page threads made me realize I was also playing into the MJ hype machine filling up his pockets and emptying mine, for what reason?

I got to looking at my closet full of jays and I was disappointed with myself that I was just realizing this at 30 years old. The closet should be filled with suits and gucci, ferragamo shoes not a bunch of sneakers.

My point: The concord hype opened my eyes to the fact that being a so called "sneakerhead" in some cases means just being a puppet.

I'm out and plotting my best liquidation strategy

+1. Customs f#%ked up one of my cool grey boxes last year.

FOH.

you could have just typed in "mental kicks" in the "search topic" bar on top of this thread and read the last few pages that showed up on the search. that should have cleared it up for you.

Hey,... this has happened to EVERYONE at some point or another... at 30 you may or may not have been around for the release of the Altitude Green XIII's but for someone who is pretty calm about releases of Jordans... I damn near lost my mind playing into the hype of this release.
I knew I wasn't doing the camping and sitting in line thing.. but I think EVERY true Sneaker dude is a Hypebeast at one point or another.. for a shoe that when it finally comes in they end up they'll never really wear.

Thew Concords however are a shoe I can understand people losing their minds over. Its classic.. it will forever be a shoe that can be released time and time again and have this same result.   I've seen many say they are "retiring" (as if there's a pension plan) or leaving the shoe "game" but they all come back.

Hell.. I've passed on my shoe love to one of my daughters and one of my sons....and the other son and daughter couldn't give a crap about kicks.. to each their own... but I'll be that old dude wearing sneakers cause its what I've always done...

in most cases with these restocks, you aren't able to even type your credit card or shipping info before its sold out. after missing out on every other restock and going through having Concords sell out while in my cart, I rushed like anybody else would when seeing a new restock link. It's cool, either mental kicks will handle this or AMEX will.

just checked craigslist in my area....peeps trying to sell for ridiculous prices. Guy trying to get a Grand for a youth size pair! LMFAO

the average price for mens will never go below $250 nevermind close to $180.
Or if your size is not that common, 7.5 is an uncommon size so the avg resell price is always a bit lower because though it is a mens size, not to many people i'de be competing with for my size. I say f you're a size 7.5-8, or any where from a 13.5+ prices are always a bit cheaper.

Sneakerheads are like rappers. We don't ever really retire. I'm 30+ and still have a sick desire to "collect" things, just so happens one of those things are sneakers. I do plan on taking a long hiatus after the Cement 4's drop. There hasn't been a new Jordan I have liked since the 23s dropped. JB overall has just sucked in terms of quality and creativity. But they win us back with these holy grail retros.

it doesnt seem like the sz 13s market has lowered in price if at all. so many of us are tryin to get the shoe but that size is limited compared to the smaller sizes.

Can't speak for others because I have 100% feedback and have for years, but I had no problem getting off a few pairs in 9.5 at $425 a piece as late as Friday.

Where is this comparison at? And you all are trying to justify that these pairs are real based solely on the fact that retail pairs have bad quality. That makes no sense at all.
