I see all type of posts on this board and notice there's no respect for Detroit SHM! Has anybody noticed Detroit is playing the best basketball in theLeague right now (Boston's good, duh and Portland's had a impressive streak). Detroit has one 9 in a row and are blowing teams out of the gym just askMilwaukee about yesterday 114-69 (Bucks 3rd worst loss in their history). Pistons starting 5 is best in the League hands down plus the bench is in Beast mode.Watch out for rookie Rodney Stuckey he just got cleared to play from a pre season wrist injury. He has Dwayne Wade type of potential and Maxiell is a Beast!Jarvis Hayes is producing off the bench too.

I guess we have to beat Boston again this Saturday in the D to get some respect on this board. Remember we have been to five straight Eastern Conference Finalsthat's consistency at it's finest. Oh yeah, my boy Chauncey Billups is the best point guard in the East (somebody's thinking Jason Kidd)! I expectsome lame coments like "Detroit sucks" or something. You can hate the D all you want, but you have to respect them Boys

Paragraphs my friend, paragraphs.

I do agree that Detroit is still top dog in the East, in a 7 game series today, I would take Detroit
(As long as the refs. and David Stern are not slurpin the Celtics, but that is a whole other story

...)
This team has been together for a while and knows how to win.
The only problem I see with this team is their coach, Detroit always gets tired during the end of the year.

And on a final note, J-Kidd > Billups

Nothing Sports related will ever be proven in NT's Sports and Training forum. Very little will be proven in the regular season either.

If Detroit wants respect and wants to let the World know that they own the Eastern Conference, they need to win the Eastern Conference finals and that probablywill involve beating Boston.

Beat Boston and you will regain the league's respect, lose to Boston and all of this talk about the Pistons running the East will have proven to have beenmere bluster.

i agree they are the team to beat in the east. how is primo brezec doing? he had some killer games against my lakers when he was on the bobcats. guy lookedlike he was gonna be a solid player and then just faded.... hopefully he can be a major piece for detroit...

to me it just seems like detroit aint hungry no more after they won that title in 2005

I'm confused, if Detroit "runs" the East then why haven't the been to the Finals since '05?

Yea you do not run the East. You don't even have the best record.

Granted you did beat the Celtics, but when we play again on the 5th. I guarantee the Pistons will lose.

Since they won the championship, they have ALWAYS been the "team to beat" in the East. Even they act like they win it every year. Get back to me whenthey win another one.

It's really difficult to say who runs the nba because another team always knocks another team's block off then so on and so forth but if I had to picka team I think it would be between detroit and the suns. Detroit still has the bitter tastes in their mouthes when they lost to cleveland in the playoffs andnow they are more hungry than before and looking for that championship ring this year.

i had detroit winning the east even when boston got kg and allen. they match up very well they play good D and billups will be the diffrence i dont see bostonwinning till they get a solid veteran pg

The key factor to the Pistons and Celtics series is.........

Billups > Rondo

Simple and plain. But yeah, I stick beside my Pistons all the way....and the East is only top heavy...with Detroit, Boston, and Orlando. No one else reallymatters in the discussion.

No they dont. No team "runs" the conference in the east. This year, the top few seeds are evenly matched. The playoffs this year are going to be funto watch.

Detroit I would pick to have the most success in the conference, but they dont run the east.

Chicago Bulls 2
Detroit Pistons 0

Detroit needs to pray that Chicago doesn't make the postseason.

We need an applause emotion.

Oh yeah Detroit beat Cleveland 3-1 last year in the regular season, we all remember who that turned out
