More Randle slander :pimp:

I warned you ***** years ago . I BEEN saying this. Dudes were killing me. I Might go look up some old post .

It won't get too much better from here.

Randle is a good rebounder and has good ball skills for a big. But his size will always limit him offensively and defensively in the paint.

He's more David Lee than Draymond.

His overall approach to the game scares me too. I get the sense that he thinks he's too talented to do the little things like set good screens. Which is why Lakers fans are questioning if Larry Nance might be better than him.

A slightly less talented guy that plays hard and knows his role might be more valuable than a slightly more talented guy who thinks he's good enough to hijack the offense and not try hard.

You nailed it...but David Lee can actually shoot.

I think Randle's ceiling can be Draymond if not a little higher. They play the same position and Draymond is listed shorter than Julius. Yet Draymond doesn't have a reputation of not finishing in the paint even though he is a smaller player. I think that it is a skilled that can be learned. IMO The hardest part is getting to the rim in the NBA. And Julius has shown that he can do that against defenders in his position. People have to be patient and let his game develop. Draymond came into the league more seasoned due to his time in college and Julius missed his whole rookie season. Gotta give it time.

As for Laker fans wanting Nance over Randle, I would say this. As a Laker fan myself i understand the fan base. 1, they are not patient and 2 they tend to fall in love with the flashier type players. Nance can be a good player but i think people are too in love right now with his ability to jump out of the jump. A lot of typical Laker fans are seeing this and immediately jump to the conclusion that he is better cause he is dunking on dudes. Reminds me of how fans got infatuatied with Shannon Brown but they we quickly found out he had a lot of holes in his game. Thats my opinion but Id also liked to see Nance's stats vs Randle as Starters since Nance did get to start a whole bunch of games during the season.

If you think all Nance does is jump really high you're obviously not watching his game very intently.

Yes we like Nance, but it isn't just because of the flashy dunks. He does the little things. And shoots 3s now. And then on top of that he dunks on people. Randle doesn't do any of those yet. His approach to the game just fits with D'Angelo and Clarkson better than Randle at this point.

I agree that Randle's ceiling could be higher than Draymond's, but the reason it isn't is, again, because of his approach. He thinks he's a star but he actually isn't that talented. Draymond still has the mindset of a role player, he'll do the dirty work but he's also pretty talented. Also, Draymond works as a small ball 5 because he defends all 5 positions, rebounds, and can shoot the 3. Again, Randle can't do any of those yet, except for rebound.

He's still young but he has to change his mindset.

Randle just doesn't have the length, versatility, ball skills, shooting touch and IQ to be Draymond.

Randle is a slightly better version of Thomas Robinson. His ball skills are so overstated. He's better when he runs the floor and catches the ball in space...rather than trying to go coast to coast and turn it over or force it to his left.

Love the work Nance has put in this off season. And dont get me wrong im not Pro Randle and Anti Nance. I want them both to be great players. I just think Randle can be the better player out of the two and he gets hated on for no reason. Even after averaging a double double as a rookie. Fans should get excited about that not talk about dude is trash we should trade him etc.

At the end of the day, the powers that be obviously saw something in him and his game cause he got the invite and Nance and other capable young players didn't.

 a slightly better version of Thomas Robinson. Y'all are either super high or guys or they're terrible. No in between.

Won't be as bad as your Russell is a historically bad bust/rookie posts

:]

Never said that.

However, he was playing terribly at the beginning of the season for a very high pick....that actually got PT. I've always maintained that...and I think even you can agree with that analysis.

I did read it that was your summary of why Laker fans like Nance. Reread your own comments

What I think about Nance's game and why a lot of Laker fans like Nance are two entirely different things. You're not making sense and you're trying to use two unrelatable points to prove your argument.

T Robinson Per 36: 13ppg 13rpg 45% from field 1.8apg - 2.7TO

Julius Randle Per 36: 14ppg 13rpg 43% from the field 2.3apg - 2.3 TO

They have similar skill sets and profiles:

People like Nance's game for more than jumping high and dunking. You basing this as some sort of main fact of why fans like him over Randle is delusional and far fetched.
