Regret List: Why did I buy these?

Remember buying these just Because. Everytime I look at them

. Damn fool.

This is the basketball shoe that taught me to never, ever, pay any attention  to sneaker reviews, ever again. I bought these on 125th street for 29.99, as there were a bunch on sale at the Express store there in Harlem. I read the review, it got the highest rating allowed, then could not wait to try these out, but was stupid and wore them during a league game without trying them out first.

This shoe featured an inner sleeve, one that was not connected to the shoe. The sleeve itself was so restrictive, that it cut off circulation in the foot. This happened even while playing, when your circulation should be working at its best. Since the inner sleeve was not connected to the shoe, it also slid around inside of the shell of the shoe while running. This meant that if you were running forward, your toes would slide to the front of the shoe during stops, and during lateral movements, the shoe would shift, rotating on the foot, not giving lateral support. So you had to tie the shoe tighter, which meant an even more restrictive feel to an already tight inner booty.

So when I complained here on Nike Talk about this shoe, I was told that it was a guard shoe. They needed to break in. People began asking me my height and weight, as if that had anything to do with the position I play, or how the shoe should feel and wear. You don't even hear of what's called a guard shoe anymore, as there was never such a thing. It was nothing but a gimmick term for poorly made shoes like the Nike Zoom Ultraflight.

One does not simple "regret" the classic green 4s

Classic? Naw son.

These are at the top of my regret list too....copped 2 pairs on release date, as I always did. Returned one the next week and sold the other within a month SMH.

Recent regrets that come to mind are the SLH 9s...after staring at them for awhile when they came in, I realized they were entirely too purple.

"Classic Green" is the green they use on these. I don't he was calling them a classic shoe.

As much as I love the concept, these are hard to wear for someone who does not go to texas IMO.

I really enjoyed the Ultraflight, wish I would have picked up more as well. To each their own

As for me I have two pairs of Air Max 90 ~ 360 hybrids. I thought the concept was cool but I just never got too into them after I bought them. They're both subtle colorways so I use them to go out sometimes.

Also West Coast XX's and even the blk/yellow Laser 2k4s. I really like both shoes but they're hard to rock and don't get much burn because of that.

Might be able to include Motorsport 6 rings but I got them for pretty cheap so hard to complain. I swapped laces with the XX's and they both look 10x better imo

It's deserving my first post is in this thread...YOTR Air Force 1...I don't even wear Forces and I dropped the $250 retail for these...still have them ds smh

Air Force 1 Deconstruct Prm. I should have tried them on; DS still.., and past the return date. I don't know wtf I was thinking.

I love my pair and people always say spiderman! when they see them, but I beat them up pretty bad now.

I have a few, but in recent memory it's these. The shoe looks dope, but i swear it's thee most uncomfortable shoe i have ever put my feet in. And for 200, you shouldn't
have to remove the insole and replace em with something more comfortable, i'm just glad i didn't have to pay retail for em.

LOL. Yeah.....my bad.

I still mean what I said lol. Joints are the definition of regret.

Kobe 7, my first Kobes ever. I bought the Christmas Cheetahs, Black/Yellow, Wolfs and Sharks. (got everything except Christmas for way below retail) Sold them all.

I like them at first but when I wore em, I realized I don't like em like that.

Jet Flights and Flightposite.
neither ever fit me well, so they just collect dust.

You must have wide feet then.

Those Jet Flights are my all-time favorite shoe to play in.

I had 4 pairs in 9th-10th grade and beat them all to the ground. Used to play a ton of bball outdoors and literally put holes in the soles of all of them. Was lucky enough to find a pair of black/zinc in my size last year on ebay and bought them for sentimental reasons.

Anyone remember the OG Air Jordan XV "Moc" ?
I bought the black/khaki joints when I was in college... The only AJ i wish i'd never copped.
I still have it DS... An Absolutely horrible shoe.
I might actually throw them in my ride and use them for driving shoes...
This thread reminded me that i have those in the shoe room somewhere

Those countdown packages. I'll wear one of them but i'll let the other sit and collect dust which i basically paid 300+ for

:smh:

Hmmm... right now... probably...

2007 AF1 Supremes (pic obvs not mine)

Impulse-buying (and that reverse/hidden stitching) got the best of me.

At the end of the day, I'm just not an AF1 fan.

And 2010 Twilight Zone's.

Don't get me wrong, I love the TZ's... I just don't see myself wearing them. Oh well.

Unfortunately, Kicksology didn't review these before I gave the advice to my coach to make these the team shoes for the team that season. They lasted two games for me, and most of the people who played more than 5 minutes a game followed suit. Seriously, the worst ball shoes, probably ever.
these were terrible!
