NIKE+ FUELBAND --- Nike's Big Announcement (1/19/12)

Battery cover? Not sure what that is but if you call Nike plus support they'll tell you if the issue is fixable and can initiate a mail in exchange or direct you to exchange it at the nearest Nike Town.
 
That Fuelband 2.0 sounds crazy!!! I first had a black one but lost it being drunk and now i'm rocking that transparent black :smile:
 
Fuelband 2.0 story is fake, talked to a friend at Nike. Said they were pissed tech blogs quoted a bs fake article. Pulse requires a tight fit which most people wouldn't want in a fuelband.
 
wait so you can just goto niketown and get a replacemnt unit? do they actually check whats wrong with it?

I bought my fuelband one of the first few days and have loved it since my purchase.

The other day I updated my perfectly working band, and suddenly the thing can't hold a charge for more than 2 minutes (literally 2 minutes from full to empty). I swear I had worn it for 2 days without charging just like normal the time before the update. I've tried to factory reset and everything, and I know my 1 year warranty is probably up.

What should i do fam?
 
Got my replacement fuelband back in Feb...button bit the dust yesterday.  Will be calling for a replacement, but was trolling a few sites and apparently this is a common malfunction ... tsk tsk.  Another $20 out of pocket to ship this thing back.  Not impressed - at all.

If you have a Nike store or NT near by you just just go in and they'll replace it on the spot.

Really? Pretty sure they sent me a return label when I had to do this and it didn't cost me anything to ship it back.
 
Yeah - after being on hold for 40 min...I'm getting a pre-paid shipping label!  Big change from Feb...when I asked back in Feb why I was on the hook for shipping, the response I received was that they were going to UPS it back to me.....ok...still $20 out of my pocket though.
Now, "due to unforeseen circumstances" I'm facing up to an 8 week delay after my watch is inspected....sigh
 
So recently when I connected my fuelband to my laptop a message pops up saying there's something wrong with it and that I had to go in store to get a replacement. I got the new one but forgot to ask whether or not the 12 month warranty from the original continues or if a new 12 month cycle starts. Anyone know if it's a new warranty? I'll be super happy if it is because my original warranty expires next month lol

Seems to me like Nike is giving up on the fuelband and basketball+ since no shoes come with the sensors and the iphone 5s has the new M7 chip and new Nike Motion app. Also had my white fuelband replace this past week and he replacement had a lose clasp but they fixed that. My white FB turned yellow so I went back to black.

Nike is using the app as an introduction to their Nike+ ecosystem. I'm sure they still want you to purchase their $150 Fuelband. Speaking of, has there been any recent news about a new generation of Fuelbands coming out? I know there was some talk about it months ago, but got shot down. I ask because I'm interested in picking one up, but I feel like a new version could be around the corner.

Kind of late, but I thought I'd share my custom black Fuelband sensor which was engraved.  I received it back when the Fuelband first released as a gift from Nike.
 
I've been thinking Nike needs to sell custom clips for the Fuelband, I'd love a gold one that some Nike sponsored athletes got.
