NIKE+ FUELBAND --- Nike's Big Announcement (1/19/12)

copped mine, cant wait! held out from buying the first one to see what kinda improvements theyd make.... easy cop online. plenty still available
 
almost everyone i know has had one mess up on them... nike knows these are faulty so they're letting people return it once it breaks... i returned mine on sunday and ordered the ice one it's a backhanded way of "extending" the 1 year warranty. if it goes out again, i think i'm just gonna refund again and then sit out til they make a better design..
 
Just grabbed an Ice today, they were sold out for a while in all sizes but Small. Glad a Medium popped up today, didn't want black.
 
thinking about picking up the Ice Band....i just cant justify the retail on this :lol:

guess Ill just skip one sneaker release and pick this up instead...not this weekend though :lol:
 
ive had my fuelband for almost 4 months, i must say this is a great reminder and motivator..for example yesterdy i ran 5.2 miles and almost added up 7,000 fuel points...better believe that next time i workout, run etc,play basketball im gonna try to top that 7,000....if youre working out and active i highly reccomend the fuel band..its like getting virtual points and medals for working out...it turns working out into call of duty lol...ive had people who on the other hand feel its a waste of money...if you arent going to work out or be active then the fuelband is not for you,,,the fuel band has helped me get in shape and has helped me lost weight and ive never been in better shape...i only reccomend it to those who plan to be active...definitely worth it.. if you want it because its a cool gadget then youre just buying a cool wristband watch , hope this helps anyone whos on the fence about this product.

i might've said this when they first came out, but how much do you regularly spend on a watch? if it's around $150 then at worst you're getting a unique watch.. price difference isn't that much plus all the motivational benefits.. like others (and myself) have said, it's a great motivator.. my fiancee and i sit there and battle it out every other day to see if we make our goal or not.. 11pm rolls around and we act like idiots running around, doing jumping jacks etc :rofl:
 
got my ice band on tuesday... super easy to set up. lots of cool stats on the nikefuel site once you start uploading the fuelband useage but unless you have the iphone fitness app or the gps watch, the nikefuel site isnt super interactive for fuelband users. was hoping i could set the fuel band to keep track of milage instead of steps, but the site will convert it once its uploaded but only as an overall stat and not daily. maybe a software update could change that? "hint hint nike". the led display is almost too bright but looks great. i feel like the steps are thrown off a bit when i first put the band on but seems pretty accurate after that. you unlock different goals as you use and upload the fuel band but i wish there was a list to keep you more interactive with the band. overall its a motivator, it could be better but it does give you a little incentive to be a little more active. looks good and its pretty comfy after a few days of wear.

I've been wondering about the display on the Ice.

How is it in the sun¿
 
Thinking about getting one, but a have question. When you bend your wrist does the band snap open or is the material fairly flexible? Thanks
 
after a few says of use, you unlock trophies if you beat your goals and collect more fuel... anyone know if theres a list of different achievements and trophies? ive gotten soaked and torched. if the fuelband was based more on these achievements it would be way more fun and interesting.
 
Ice on ice just delivered. I can't set it up until I get off work. Can anyone tell me if it displays the date. I don't want to wear this and a watch, but I need to have the date on my wrist for reference while working
 
Sorry the Fuelband won't show the date and that's the only reason I find myself checking my phone now. The Fuelband shows time, fuel points, and calories burned and steps. You can alter it to only show time and fuel if you prefer.
 
my fuelband has worked well since day one lol... although the screws are like rusted now and the millions of scratches
 
I had the black one, lost it and just got the ice one a few days ago. It is amazing but the lights are extremely bright to me... anyone else notice this?
 
the LED in the bottom right corner seems to no longer work anymore on mine, doesnt really make a difference since it never uses that one except for when the battery is charging
