Houston Texans Pre-Season 2014 - NT Bowl 2.5...Battle For Roster Spots

specials teams man :smh:

joe marciano needs to go.

i feel like we have to have a staff overhaul to push over the top. the organization seems okay with mediocrity.

if you aren't getting better, you're getting worse. and we haven't got much better while the colts have got a lot better

****

Schaub would probably be crippled if he attempted that.

Dude, quit saying that nonsense. The Texans are not trading for Ben, period. It is not relatively possible and Ben isn't an answer to the Texan's problems. Just stop, seriously. When you go saying that, it makes the rest of Texans' fans look bad.

LOL.

Told kid to settle down...

What are the chances Brown, Johnson both play? Either way I'm fairly confident in a getting a W on Sunday. I think they contain Marshawn enough to keep it close but I see Russell having his way with Jackson, Joseph, and particularly Swearinger - thats if, and a big IF, our O-line can withstand different fronts and blitzes you'll show out there.

With Foster slowed, and Schaub being Schaub, I see it as a defensive battle for the most part with SEA pulling away late.

Trading for Ben would financially cripple us, meaning we couldn't resign Watt. It isn't happening.

As of right now, Andre has a much higher chance of playing than Brown. It's actually a forgone conclusion.

Texans’ Duane Brown a game-time decision against Seahawks

Texans left tackle Duane Brown is still “very sore,” coach Gary Kubiak said Wednesday, and did not practice with the team. The All Pro worked with trainers and is showing some improvement, but was held out of organized activities.

Brown missed a Week 3 road loss to Baltimore. He’ll be a game-time decision Sunday against Seattle at Reliant Stadium.

Kubiak said Brown was “moving around, did a little individual work,” and is much better than he was at this point last week.

If Brown doesn’t start, Ryan Harris will again take his place.

“We’ll just hope for the best and continue to prepare Ryan to play,” Kubiak said.

Texans’ Andre Johnson ‘sore,’ hopes to play Sunday

Veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson (shin bruise) is still dealing with soreness and will likely be a game-time decision Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, coach Gary Kubiak said.

Johnson did not practice Wednesday. He exited a road loss Sunday to Baltimore and didn’t finish his second consecutive game.

“We’ll see where we’re at (Thursday),” Kubiak said.

Despite the soreness, Kubiak hinted Johnson will likely play against the Seahawks.

“I think Andre’s going to do everything he can to be there,” Kubiak said. “He is very sore (Wednesday). So we’ll let it run its course and see how he’s feeling.”

Left tackle Duane Brown took another positive step forward on Thursday, practicing with his teammates at the Houston Methodist Training Center. The 2012 All-Pro sprained a toe in his right foot during the Week 2 win over the Titans, and didn’t travel to Baltimore for Week 3. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Brown is still a gametime decision for Week 4 against Seattle.

Baffled at the Texans having the #2 defense, but they'll need every bit of that on Sunday. My focus is mostly on the offense though. Schaub and Kubiak have been deservingly slandered all week long on the radio, so it's really on them to change what is almost a consensus view of them both here.

Texans’ Duane Brown inactive, Andre Johnson starting vs. Seahawks

The biggest part of the Texans’ offensive line will be out for the second consecutive week.

All-Pro left tackle Duane Brown is inactive for Sunday’s contest against the Seattle Seahawks at Reliant Stadium. He’ll again be replaced by Ryan Harris.

Andre Johnson (shin) will start for the Texans (2-1).

Case Keenum, Lestar Jean, Tim Dobbins, Cody White, Sam Montgomery and Tim Jamison join Brown on the Texans’ inactive list.

Jeron Johnson, Spencer Ware, John Lotulelei, Max Unger, Breno Giacomini, Benson Mayow and Jordan Hill are inactive for the Seahawks (3-0).

Lemuel Jeanpieere will replace Unger, while Michael Bowie will fill in for Giacomini.

Schaub is a ******g loser and the Texans need to wash their hands of him. I'll just pinpoint the most obvious play, instead of throwing an off balanced noodle arm pick 6, you're supposed to take the sack and play defense, forcing the Hawks to have to use up the little amount of time left. I've defended this loser enough just because he has lead comebacks and made good passes, but HE'S the one who puts the team in that position in the first place. The defense played their ***** off even with giving up long drives, but I can't put this loss on them. This is another loss that's on Schaub (way more this week than last). Folds under pressure when someone even thinks about rushing him. I'm through with Schaub regardless if we finish with a top record.

No more of this **** man. NO MORE. I'm done with this dude
-First off, when you need everything around a QB to be better than average you're setting yourself up for failure
- An elite QB can make up for so many flaws on a team
-The defense played their *** off but the bummy *** offense ( mostly o-line and Schaub) couldn't close it out
- Schaub is turning the ball over, taking sacks he shouldn't, and he can't ******g move
- The offense hasn't scored in the second half since the OT vs. Tenn

I just want a QB that can makes plays with either his feet or a big arm. Is that too much to ask?

Seen about 6 replays of that pick 6. **** is disgusting. 2:42 left, take the cot damn sack you ******g dummy :smh: Just threw the damn ball up with 4 Seahawks in the area. Schaub truly is gonna be the downfall of this team

you can win with schaub but not because of him.

that was fine, until schaub starting throwing INTs every game and now we're losing because of him
