I have a pair of JJ Barea's low top converse they pretty slick will post pics in the AM
 
^^^^ those aero glides are beautiful, would be interested to see this shoe make a return


BTW if anyone knows where I can find these still please let me know, last time I saw them was the very early 2000's.  Here's a pic of me with them from 1994
 
Figured I would share these as well, nothing crazy but the original designer of the Magic Johnson Signature Shoe sent them to me, enjoy

anyone tried playing basketball with chucks?just wondering,been reading up on Bill Russell and can't belive he played 40+mpg wearing the chucks low.I'm hoping they'd release a modern basketball version of the Chucks.today @Champ's I saw a Chuck Taylor All-star padded with a single strap.anyone know the model and where I can buy one online?

Yeah you are better off playing bare footed...Chucks are not basketball shoes...they were just the only option for players back in the hay days.

Anyone know of a place I can get Hideout x Converse at? Burgundy cw in a size 7? I've searched with no luck.
 
Funny thing is my friend came up to the gym wearing chucks. I was like your ankles are gonna be done. He said these are better then jordans and Nike ect. He said they are more free moving and easy on your toes. I looked at him like he was crazy but he didn't show any signs of uncomfort or pain. I'm not trying however because I know I'll roll my ankle.

A retro of the magics would be great for sure but looking at a few old bookmarks on my web browser I think Converse had good things coming up in their 2009-2010 line-up. Too bad they gave up on the SICKS, WEAPON EVO and DROP SHOT. These had a great design with a classic feel mixed in while offering a good performance (according to reviews). I regret having slept on those !
