I bought a Nike voucher on ebay and tried to use it but obviously you arent allowed to sell them or give them to anyone to use but the person it was issued to. Place and order and it got cancelled because of the issue.

Nike even sent me an email:

Any product voucher sold or purchased from a third party, including those purchased on an internet auction site is void and has no value. For further information please visit NikeStore.com. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or hold for review vouchers and orders for suspected fraud or for vouchers mistakenly issued in an incorrect denomination or for violations of NikeStore.com voucher policies.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know.

Now the seller doesnt want to refund my money, what do i do now? obviously i can go through paypal/ebay but i can still get screwed somehow.

EDIT: filed a paypal claim as not received and i somehow lost. SMH looks like we are gonna need NT detectives to help me out, i got his name, his sister/mother paypal name, location and phone number

i can appeal as not as described but will wait on that to see if this scam artist will refund my money! NT detectives please help me, not losing $300 over this BS

How did they know you brought it from a 3rd party website...I would give Nike Customer service a call.

obviously name and address doesnt match up to the name issued on the voucher

I've bought vouchers before and used them no problem. This is the first time I heard about this.

Nike wont hear it, they even state you arent allowed to sell, trade, give your voucher for anyone to use but yourself.

i will start a paypal dispute because i dont trust the ebay dispute process since its different but worried ill somehow get screwed.

good luck man... remember, dont cancel the dispute until you have your money back. If you cancel bfore you get anything in return, paypal wont do anything else for you...

yea i def know that, i mean im thinking i will win 100% but kinda worried. he sent it through email and the auction doesnt state hes sending it through email so i was thinking of filing as not received and they will ask for a tracking and he wont have one.

i was selling a voucher not too long ago. may ask what went wrong? didnt all you have to do was enter the code? i didnt know names needed to match

Name and address has to match the vouchers. I sold a voucher to a friend, he placed an order, Nike called him and asked where he got the voucher from, he said from a friend. Nike said they will let it slide this time but next time they will cancel the order.

Lose/Lose situation.  Sorry to hear.

Because, either way, someone (either initial seller or buyer) is gonna be out a'ed out in the end.

Voucher is null and void now.

What I do is use the voucher online then return at the outlet for a gift card..no issues at all.

I don't know why you thought you'd win that. Dude delivered the product. It's not his fault that nike doesn't accept it.
Your basically trying to scam the guy at this point. You took the risk and lost.

how am i scamming him if he isnt allowed to sell it in the first place?

You should have known the risks of buying it in the first place.

Call Nike and tell them you were ordering it for a relative.

they already know what happened as i talked to them, no going back and changing stories

I'd say you're gonna have to take the L on this one. You gave it a shot with Paypal but there's not much you can do now.

And you weren't supposed to buy it in the first place.

This is similar to when people buy stolen merchandise and get upset when the cops tell them they can't keep it.

wow, not even gonna waste my time with some stupid comments in this thread.. people acting like they know everything about everything.
zyzz, i would suggest asking nike for a statement on the matter and giving it to paypal. if that doesn't work, do a reverse charge if you paid by credit card.

the fact of the matter is, the item shouldn't have even been listed on eBay. this guy knew exactly what he was trying to do, and unfortunately it was you that fell for it.

paypal is a bunch of @@!!#%*#. buyer protection my !+*.

Qft.  I dont think its right that you lose out on your money, but you def shouldnt of tried to get over on the seller by claiming you never got the voucher.  I hope you get your money back though.  Im never buying another voucher again.
