It's not the best, but I have one of these Ripon samples which used to be a Faulk at one point. The "Faulk" in the back was peeling off pretty bad so I tried my best to remove most of it. I was going to get it re-done but if one of you guys want to take it off my hands and get it done yourself let me know.

i have about 20-30 m&n jersey i want tailored and have a few questions.

can any tailor do it?

they are huge, what do i tell the tailor in terms of size? my shirt size, get measurements?

How much does it typically cost?

Any GOOD tailor can do it, but I'd check out reviews on yelp or see if someone can point you to a local from these boards or one of the jersey specific boards. It really helps if you have one on hand to show them how you want it to fit.

They'll be able to bring it down a few sizes, but if you're trying to get a pro cut or something esoteric, definitely get recommendations before giving them your jerseys.

Cost can vary pretty widely, it all depends on where you live and what tailor you go for, if you get it done in some downtown central business area you'll pay through the nose because those people's rents are expensive as hell. If you find a nice tailor in the burbs or near an ethnic community (asian neighborhoods always seem to have really good tailors) you can save a few books and probably have them do a better job on it. I'd budget like 20-30 per jersey, unless you get them to cut you a deal since it sounds like you want to do a ton at once.

What kind of size shift are you looking to make anyways 60 down to 36?
 
Good looking man. I have some 56 i want down to whatever is a L-XL in a t-shirt. im guessing 44-48

Im really concerned with the length as the length seems much more ridiculous than the width. ill probably just do one at first to see whats up, then dump a trash bag at em once i know if they are any good.
 
56 down to about a 48 should be well within the range for a decent tailor, I'm waiting until the season ends but I want to get the sleeves shortened a tiny bit on my latest M&N jersey, they come down below my elbow at the moment and that just looks really awkward.

If I wasn't afraid to ruin it during alterations, I'd also like to get a team issued NCAA cut a bit so I can actually wear it without looking like a loon since it's cut for pads and has an extra 4" in length, but with how much of a pain it is to get the team issued jerseys I think it's just going to stay in the closet until I get around to framing it, and only get put on in the event of a BCSNCG bowl game (which won't be happening this year and probably not next year)

Why would you do that? I'm far from an Arizona fan. I rooted for the Yankees in 2001. Ain't my fault Mo's cutter didn't cut against Gonzo.
