That Incredible Hulk #377 is a favorite of mine. Have that and the 2nd print in my box.

Bumping this

I’m planning on going to Megacon 24 in Orlando in about 5 weeks. A lot of artists/creators who’ve worked on my fav characters (Silk/Kaine) gonna be in attendance. Does anyone have experience when it comes to getting signatures/grading at conventions? I got a few I’d like to both get signed/graded without going through all the hoops normally

Good morning. Essentially, there are two ways to get signatures done. One is for you to take your books yourself stand on lines for each individual creator to have them sign it. And if you want those same books graded with a signature series witness label, you need to also seek out, a representative prior to the signing from the grading company to witness your books being signed. They will then take those books from you and prepare them for grading at their booth. The second option is for you to find a signature series facilitator. They will do all the legwork for you for a fee. You would just have to send them the books in advance , along with payment for the service. They will take those books with them to the show after you mail it to them and give the creators all the books at once to sign. Each facilitators different so you would have to figure out the terms. One way to find facilitators is on the CGC chat board website and also CBCS chat board website. I hope you enjoy the show. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Appreciate the detailed response. I have a few things I definitely want graded but there’s one I’m trying to get a few creators to remarque. Would it be the same process, getting a witness for each one?

If you don’t want the book graded or authenticated then you can avoid CGC and CBCS altogether, unless there are conducting private signings and remarks with the creator. In that case you can send the books to them and ask for no encapsulation, if they allow it. If you want to save time and do not want to meet the creator a facilitator can get all the remarks you want with or without grading. They usually have access to multiple people.

Yup been reading through there the past few days. I’ve gotten sigs from actors and such at cons before but not really comic creators. I know that realm is a bit different

I ended up getting a CGC Sig Series sent back from an order I did just for a regular sig with coa. Once i opened the box, I knew I had to get another one I had graded sig series

Very nice. The comic creators aren’t always as easy to keep up with. You have to hound the convention site, Artist or author’s social media accounts and facilitators as well as the boards. But the boards usually have a collective who do the work periodically.

And you never know, every year people pass. Better to get what you want done than to live with the regret.

For me. Not many creators end up down in Miami so Orlando is why biggest shot. The weekend lines up with me being in the area to actually get some things signed

Where do you guys buy comics online from?
I've bought through eBay from the same sellers. Prices are pretty good, just have to deal with shipping.

I sometimes go this route than through my local to re-use the diamond shipping packaging when I sell some of my comics.
