Wolverine Goes To Hell, Get Mystique, and I don't know the title of it but the long *%! arc where he finally defeats Romulus and before that finds out he has a son (Daken).

Speaking of Punisher Max. A Fury Max series has just started.

Picked this up for some weekend reading.

Calvin and Hobbes is the greatest strip ever.

No doubts on that, I just wish after all the care they took to properly format the Collection into the way Watterson wanted it presented they'd have made the binding able to handle even casual reading. Those strips should be seen by all not hidden on a shelf for eternity. While the early books tossed out his formatting and Sunday colors at least they held up well.

I remember reading once that Watterson would go into a book store in his home town and secretly autograph copies of the Calvin and Hobbes books, but he stopped when he realized people were selling them on ebay instead of keeping them as a cherished possession.

So I want to get into invincible.
It's like on 90 something right now.
Can I just read it and go from there or do I need to read it all?
Any volumes?

You can try reading from the 80s to get the gist of where they're at not but starting from 90 would have you a bit lost for a while. They'll be saying names and mentioning things you'd have to be aware of in prior issues.

I've read these quite often as they have a deeper meaning to me than most. Long story.

But the binding has held up for almost 8 years now, give or take.

Picking up the new 52 of Batman next week... heard nothing but good things. so we'll see.

you made a great choice.  Swamp thing is too underrated...I wish DC kept him out of the whole White Lantern stuff but I'm trying to dig the new series.

Get on that sandman by neil gaiman....i've been begging all the comic book heads to get on the series.  It's a collection of 12 or so graphic novels and a whole other list of side books and companions.

It's def out of the box in terms of what it was doing for the time it came out.

Also Constantine is another good one to take a look at.

Nah, Dark Wolverine is just apart of it and connects to it for a while, that's when Daken joins Norman Osbourne Dark Avengers. The Romulus stuff is mainly in Wolverine Origins. So I say just get all those issues, it isn't an insane amount.

After checking he's been in 64 issues. 1st appearance was in Wolverine # 50. He was mentioned and in the shadows for a while before that. I don't think Marvel has released a full trade paperback or something like an omnibus yet to have the full story all in one place. Actually they do have it in trades but it's in 4 parts.

Tod McFarlane?  Idk, he could be, I really havent heard anything from him recently.  But im pretty sure he created Venom for Marvel, and then left so he could create and own Spawn.
McFarlane was an amazing illustrator of spider man. he got mad at marvel and their rules (for instance you couldn't have an issue that had no action and all drama) and control over created characters. he created image with other illustrators preaching the right of the artists to retain rights over the characters. in the end he screwed some other creators and i've dropped out since then.

You should definitely start Invincible from the beginning. There are 15 trades out right now and I believe there is an Omnibus, that was released recently.
I started from the first trade and caught up to where the comic book is now. Love everything about Invincible. Robert Kirkman is awesome at this title...I wish they would release sooner.

I just finished reading some Marvelman/Miracleman issues by Alan Moore cuz I stumbled across some articles online about Marvel buying the rights to it a few years back and I wanted to find out more about why he has not shown up in the MU yet and I come across the whole problem with McFarlane and Gaiman (writer who took up the character after Moore) suing over the right to the character and how it got caught up in limbo because of the lawsuits. I only knew of McFarlane being an a-hole but never details. He's a real douche for what he tried to pull on Gaiman.
