If that's the one where Hulk is the only one left on the planet with a bunch of self narration by Banner and then general narration about Hulk with the indestructible recorder following him and super cockroaches and Banner is old as **** then it was really really good.
At this point I'd suggest picking up some Hulk Essential Omnibuses; look for Peter David's run, stuff like Future Imperfect and Professor Hulk.

Yeah, X-Men is pretty good. If you wanna get a complete run Cable & X-Force and Uncanny X-Force are finishing next month so you could get those in trades or one big hardcover. I'd also suggest X-Men Legacy starring Legion. As for ongoings:
