The anime thread is like any other show/movie thread.

Anime is basically a japanese tv show.

So if you think of it as the japanese animated tv show thread, it's less confusing.

Anime appeals to all ages, so yes it can be for you in there.

There just was much genre varierty in anime as american tv.

Sports animes, thriller animes, comedy animes, etc.
