Off the top of my head, I know maybe three or four people from school who were a marketing major, actually got a job in a corporations marketing department. They all ended up doing sales or going to staffing firms (which is a very under rated profession IMO).

It definitely can be done though, but theres just a small amount of jobs out there for it which is weird to me.
