Someone offered me $100 more than I am asking for a pair of shoes eBay. Wants me to overnight ship. I have not done many deals on the internetz so I am afraid to get scammed. Is their offer too good to be true?

One thing about eBay that chaps my hide is when you see an item where the bidding starts low and you watch it thinking you might get a good deal... and there are other listings with a Buy It Now price.... but then the bidding ends up approaching the BIN price of the other listings. Like dude, this knee brace is going for 20.00 Buy It Now on multiple listings, but y'all boosted the bidding up to 17.25 with 3 days to go. Are y'all that cheap trying to save a buck or two and waiting a whole damn week? I don't eBay that much but I thought an item starting at 0.99 would end up being a good deal down the line... say 10-12 bucks. These people will start a bidding war to save 1-2 bucks I guess.

Yes and no.

While it sounds like a setup sometimes there ate people that really want the shoes for a birthday etc. One time I asked a guy if he was trying to scam me and he got offended, wrote me a 5 paragraph sarcastic response.

I would say look at feedback etc. And send with signature confirmation.

^ that is the thing. He only has 3 feedback and those were in January so I cannot see what was bought or sold.

Also I don't have it under an auction only a buy it now price. That is why the offer caught me by surprise.
