The Official Mass Effect 3 Thread! Vol. 3/6/2012

You guys ready for tomorrow?  I'm almost done finishing up the 2nd game on PS3.  Love it.
I decided to pre-order from best buy and get the $10 giftcard.  I'm lazy to drive over to game stop.  You only get that dlc mission if you pre-order instore.

What?! The From Ashes DLC is supposed to only come with the collectors edition or you can download it on release day. What does Gamestop have up their sleeves?

I was on the gamestop site but it's not really clear.  I might've misread it.  I'm not sure if it comes with the instore pre-order or if it's available for purchase for the ones who did pre-order.  I just pre-ordered from Best Buy and hope I get that $10 gift card.
 
okay so I didn't play the first two (for some odd reason I have vague memories of playing 1, but I'm not sure if I really did)


anyways, should I play the first two before I play ME3? or can I perhaps work backwards from this release?
I really want to get this game as KOTOR is now a $%!@!@% lame-#%* MMORPG

 and now ME3 is the only KOTOR-esque Bioware RPG on the market.

play the 1st 2 first. not even for just the story but the choices you make in those games afftect the events in this game too. you'll get a more complete understanding of whats going on/what's at stake. Not just that though...ME1 and ME2 are two fantastic games in their own right
 
plus, finish 1 & 2 and by the time you get to 3 it'll prob be $40 or less

I finished 2 a few months ago but I need to finish the expansion packs I never completed after beating the game.

I am extremely distracted with Skyrim tho. Thats a good thing, will help me wait for the game to go down in price.

More than likely at midnight. I don't expect it to get bad scores. IGN has been doing a playthrough since noon est. You don't show people piss poor games on a live stream on a fairly major gaming site but then again....
 
just started 1 on the PC. This game is like all my childhood fantasies come together in a game.

Why does he look so damn evil? Whoever played probably picked every single Renegade choice available.

Alot of the renegade choices were too funny ( I didn't have the balls to try them though). Dudes can be talking for 10 minutes about losing their fathers at a young age, and you can basically tell them to shut up and suck it up

James Vega is Bisexual and comes onto Shepard hard.
EDI gets a sexy robot body and joker wants into that metal %*#
Thane becomes a physical therapist
Ashley becomes a Spectre
More loyaty Missions
Cerebus is trying to control the reapers.
Undina is on the council
If you romanced Liara in ME 1 and someone else in ME 2. She makes you choose her or whoever as soon as yall get on the Normandy. I now have to do a Laira and a Tali run.
You get the Blue Suns, Blood pack and Ecsplise Mercenaries on your side.
Thats what Im up to so far

Trust me go back create a new character and renegade it up! I just did it thru both games. Only thing I hate is they make you come off as Ashley from ME1. Man did she hate Aliens...

yea only the collectors will bring it if you preorder with gamestop. i think its day one or week one DLC
