Well aware of the fact that people are in prison for crimes they commited in youth. Doesn't mean they would repeat the behavior if released.
Guess my point was that people mature and to generalize and say he can't is narrow-minded and dickish.
Making an assumption here.. But you don't know this man personally.
I personally have gotten into fights with guys when I was younger and done a hell of a lot more damage to them than he did to Rihanna. (I know there is a difference)
BUT.... Now I'm an adult that has matured past that and would never go down that road again.
So why can't he?
That is an interesting point. A little out of left field but valid no less. But not really what we're discussing hereOriginally Posted by Grizzly Hebert
^ Thanks.. I think?
By no means am I defending his actions.
I'm just a very strong believer in redemption and personal progress.
But I honestly believe that violence is violence no matter who it's against.
If duke was gay and beat the piss out of his smaller, weaker lover.... We wouldn't even be having this conversation. And that is kinda +%@%## up.
Well said..plus he hasn't shown everybody that he has changed. Going Hulk (ripping his shirt off) and punching a glass window out on the Good Morning America just because an anchor asked a question about a mistake in your past? He could have hurt somebody if that glass fell on a bystander below. Celebrities get asked about their past all the time..and he went off like he was the first ever to be questioned about embarrassing mistakes.Originally Posted by the coolness
I don't really see how anyone can defend Chris Brown in this whole thing. Half the people in here keep saying to "let it go" and "time to move on" but it seems like Chris is the one that can't let it go constantly playing the victim and crying about the HATERZ that are after him and how everyone's against him. If he had shown some humility and thanked everyone for the second chance while acknowledging his mistake and promising to better himself this wouldn't even be an issue. But no, instead it's "@+!* THE HATERZ I GOT MY GRAMMY +*+@%#@ #TEAMBREEZY4EVAR!!!11!1!." And the arguing about the report is just silly. The pics tell me the whole story. And it's even being speculated that this whole thing started because Rhianna found out he was texting his secret gay lover that night. I'm sorry but anyone siding with him on this has their morals severely mixed up

Which would also explain the GMA incident as well
