at all of the people arguing over the logistics of banging her face against an open door.  They were struggling.  You can't fathom the door only being slightly ajar if she hit her head? It has to be eithr closed and locked or swung all the way open for yall right?

.....no, its just that with a car door open, or a car door in a half way open state but still not latched, doesnt have that much resistance to cause a contusion. while Rhianna wasnt fighting back, im sure she wasnt sitting there like a limp puppet taking the blows unprotected.

Why should anyone move on when this guy hasn't shown one bit of contrition about the act and continues to act like he's being unjustly persecuted. Only a true piece of #+%$ would commit this act, so I think it's fair that we treat him accordingly.

Horrible thing that went down.

Just not a fan of people coming out and saying have "we" forgiven him.

As if he actually punched and bit them also.

Exactly how long is dude gonna be persecuted for this? Lord knows I don't wanna be attacked for the rest of my life for dumb, effed up things I did at 19.

um there are dudes in jail right now for dumb %%@$ they did when they were 19. Men like this don't change. He could have killed her. A rape charge stays on your record for life.

Idk why this had me dying.  Reading a whole page of banter and this being the last post on the page just caught me off guard.

I always find it funny though just from a societal standpoint.  We act like we have moral codes when these things happen but we are so quick to forgive and act like nothing happened.  But it is america land of the 2nd...3rd and 4th chance.

Well aware of the fact that people are in prison for crimes they commited in youth. Doesn't mean they would repeat the behavior if released.

Guess my point was that people mature and to generalize and say he can't is narrow-minded and dickish.

Making an assumption here.. But you don't know this man personally.

I personally have gotten into fights with guys when I was younger and done a hell of a lot more damage to them than he did to Rihanna. (I know there is a difference)

BUT.... Now I'm an adult that has matured past that and would never go down that road again.

So why can't he?

your doing yourself a disservice by comparing yourself to Chris brown. Violent crimes against women are just different.

I don't really see how anyone can defend Chris Brown in this whole thing. Half the people in here keep saying to "let it go" and "time to move on" but it seems like Chris is the one that can't let it go constantly playing the victim and crying about the HATERZ that are after him and how everyone's against him. If he had shown some humility and thanked everyone for the second chance while acknowledging his mistake and promising to better himself this wouldn't even be an issue. But no, instead it's "@+!* THE HATERZ I GOT MY GRAMMY +*+@%#@ #TEAMBREEZY4EVAR!!!11!1!." And the arguing about the report is just silly. The pics tell me the whole story. And it's even being speculated that this whole thing started because Rhianna found out he was texting his secret gay lover that night. I'm sorry but anyone siding with him on this has their morals severely mixed up

^ Thanks.. I think?

By no means am I defending his actions.

I'm just a very strong believer in redemption and personal progress.

But I honestly believe that violence is violence no matter who it's against.

If duke was gay and beat the piss out of his smaller, weaker lover.... We wouldn't even be having this conversation. And that is kinda +%@%## up.

That is an interesting point. A little out of left field but valid no less. But not really what we're discussing here

As for the personal progress and redemption I still haven't seen any proof of it.

Well said..plus he hasn't shown everybody that he has changed. Going Hulk (ripping his shirt off) and punching a glass window out on the Good Morning America just because an anchor asked a question about a mistake in your past? He could have hurt somebody if that glass fell on a bystander below. Celebrities get asked about their past all the time..and he went off like he was the first ever to be questioned about embarrassing mistakes.

Anyways I do believe the whole gay rumor..why else would he react so crazy and basically try to kill her?
nerd.gif

I hope one day he can stop playing the victim role and humble himself to calmly address his past in a genuine manner. He needs to accept that this costly mistake can never be forgotten.
