Its better to be safe than sorry. Its hard to gauge the hype of each release. So it you really like them, dont sweat the extra 22 bucks. I never thought Id see 06 IV's selling for over 200 and those were complete garbage. So eventually, the shoes might be worth what you paid.

I just got hosed. Email from Footlocker that they are on backorder. I ordered when they had a FSR. Backorder? Like there are more coming in?

I ended up getting the Cavs IV cheaper than I got the Militarys for (only because the Cavs came from Eastbay, and there was no tax + free shipping). While the Cavs IV is a great pickup, the 2 pair of Cavs I got from Eastbay BOTH had several blemishes on the midsole, including horrible touch up paint jobs on the blue portion of the midsole. This isn't entirely bad because I'll wear them regardless. The Militarys I grabbed are flawless, well worth paying retail + tax. Might grab another pair in a trade for my low XIs...

They did improve a lot from the previous retro. The actual midsole was improved as well. It just seems thicker and more solid. Doesnt have a cheap feel to it. No Banana Boats, Plus the paint is not shiny which was a plus. The only that that would make these IV's over the top is if they went back to the original netting used on the OG's and 99's. Get rid of the hangtags, give us cheap boxes and put a little more padding and original netting is something I would do. Offset necessary improvements by eliminating unnecessary things that sit in closets.

Actually like this 4 CW. I would put in infront of Cavs but thats just my opinion.

@EastbayRep -- I've been buying from eastbay since 1990, and to be honest, the quality control issue I had with the Cavs IV doesn't make me lose any respect for Eastbay. I've received several Jordan Brand products over the last few years that have been suspect, at best. It just so happened that the Cavs IV blemishes were outwardly noticeable. Eastbay isn't the problem; I think most of us here know that.

Copped one pair on release day and my boy at niketown hooked up a second pair for $90+tax with his discount.
Quality is def. better than the 06's. I got rid of those after about 5 wears, the paint was cracking.
I always loved these, can't beat an original colorway.
Felt nice being able to walk into niketown and cop with ease. I'm glad there was no artificial hype for these.

Its not eastbay's fault because they dont open the box of every pair of shoe before they ship them out, but it sucks because by the time you get them in the mail they are sold out and you cant exchange em for a different pair.
